Happy Friday, ya’ll! How about a little #FridayIntroductions? . If you are new here, I’m Kara and I am a #BrandStylist and #GraphicDesigner. I work with passionate business owners in creating an unforgettable first impression. A few random things about me that you may not pick up in from these squares... . 1️⃣ I legit am addicted to tacos. And I might currently be on Day 5 of tacos for lunch and/or dinner. And I’m not even bored one bit with it 😜 2️⃣ I am self taught in everything I do - don’t ask me to do math, but learning Photoshop? No problemo. 3️⃣ I have five kids and the number one question I get constantly is ‘how do I do it all’. That one makes me blush faster than Usain Bolt runs and my immediate reaction is - I do NOT do it all. And then I usually side eye the giant pile of laundry staring back at me and the sink full of dishes begging to be cleaned 🤦🏻♀️ . So, friend - tell me what it is that you do professionally and one thing I wouldn’t know about you just scrolling your IG profile!👇And HAPPY FRIDAY!! 🙌💃🏻

Here’s the thing that nobody really prepares you for when you take on this whole ‘business owning/entrepreneur thing’... the actual growing part? It’s scary, uncomfortable and can be downright painful. Going through the motions and running your business is one thing. Making those hard decisions and stepping off the edge into the unknown to reach the next part of the journey? Hard. . This next week there will be a major shift happening in my business and one that I have known in my gut has needed to happen for some time. My branding/design business and my lifestyle blog are becoming their own, separate brands. Their own websites, their own blogs, their own social media. Why? Because they have grown so much that they are actually working against each other. Not just in technical aspects like SEO, but when you aren’t properly serving your audience and really curating what content they are getting, then you’ve got a major problem. . At the same time I am also searching and hiring an assistant. My first one ever. Someone to join me in this crazy adventure and who will be there to help me make things happen. It’s a lot. And to be completely transparent, I’m over here double fisting chocolate right now. . But if business has taught me anything it’s that if you are not making things uncomfortable, you aren’t growing. Moving forward despite how uncertain or bumpy the road may be is vital to progress. So here I go again. I will gratefully walk the next part of the road uncomfortable because I know the benefits far outweigh anything I am currently going through. . And for my multi-passionate entrepreneurs out there? Keep up the good fight. It takes time to find your footing, but things will fall into place and you will find a comfortable pace to move forward and enjoy all that is available to you. Be patient. Be brave. Be positive. Don’t stop creating ❤️ . 📷: original source unknown / found via Pinterest
I’m a firm believer that you have to fake it ‘till you make it. I did this very thing in my early years... even down to the DIY business cards. . Yep. I hand embossed each card. Why? Because the added detail said a lot about my brand when I would hand someone this. And I wanted to make a bigger statement then I could afford to have made for me. . Wondering how you can achieve this same look for your own brand? I’ve got you covered when I blogged all about the process awhile back. Visit the blog (Link in profile) and search ‘business cards’ 👍
Ah, Friday.... . Are you the type to unplug and let loose for the weekend? . Or does the sound of staying in and working in jammies give you the warm and fuzzies?
