Since many have checked in and inquired — we need your help! — While I am personally ok, Though unemployed, K&B is hoping to sustain this. Our bar, restaurant and cafe clients are all either shut-down until April 27th or operating in limited takeout fashion and who knows how many will re-open, if they do. Thankfully I had over 200 cases produced at end of February so I’m well-stocked, but that drained me off operating capital and not being able to make sales will be crippling. Not sure what our future holds or how we’ll navigate this, so I’m reengaging my GoFundMe to help K&B tread water the next few months. Unsure of how and where I was going to continue producing, I was very fortunate to make the acquaintance of Mache Barwinski and @brooklyncannery... starting in a small-warehouse in Long Island City, and now in their own production facility in Park Slope, partnering with Brooklyn Cannery Has not only allowed me to keep producing, but they have evolved the product to be shelf-stable and absurdly delicious. Without this partnership, I would likely not have access to the NYC marketplace either. Several nearly maxed out credit cards, a nearly depleted savings and much worrying about the ability to survive in the business world and what lurking policy ideas will throw a wrench - but not ready to give this up yet.
