“In this world of who shouts the loudest and what shines the brightest, luckily there are places and people we can retreat to when the noise is too much for us. A world of calmness and simplicity. A world where the sounds of nature, of birds, the wind in the tree tops, the water flowing are what fills our ears. Nestled in this world is the work of Catherine from Bumpkin Hill...” I’m thrilled to be interviewed for Anne’s fabulous embroidery blog. She wrote that sweetest introduction. Find the link at @pumora_anne or her blog at pumora.de to read about how nature inspires my designs and how I started Bumpkin Hill. Thank you Anne x p.s more about these Highland Cattle soon!
Helping my community find and enjoy their creativity is one of my greatest Joys. Look at the beautiful stitches done on my “JOY” Embroidery Kit by Julie Ann. She said these kind words: “Fabulous kit! Materials were top notch and it looked even better than I thought it would. Directions were easy to follow and shipping was super fast. My first project turned out so well, I immediately ordered more of them. Catherine is a wonderful artist and her attention to detail is top notch! I wish I could leave more than 5 stars for this review!” This melted my heart, thank you to all of you sweet souls that have made Bumpkin Hill your creative Home. All my Kits & instant download Patterns are available in my Etsy Shop (link in profile).
Today I woke up to the sound of rain! Happy for my garden, not so much for my outdoors loving soul. So I am dreaming of being back amongst these daisies nestled by the Cotswold hills at @cotswoldlavender. It was a dream to visit the lavender fields here and these daisies really were the icing on the cake! #bestunitedkingdom
She sleeps in the meadows... this Embroidery design was inspired by lazy Summer days, pic-nics in the meadows as I searched for four leafed clovers. You can also find and stitch your own lucky clovers (look closely by Rabbit). Available as a PDF Pattern or complete Kit with pre-printed fabric (Etsy Shop link in profile).
Have a cosy evening! I love this time of year, warm blankets and craft time! How many of you have a dog, wonder if they would love a pile of pillows like this?! This “Puppy’s Lazy Day” PDF Embroidery Pattern is available in my Etsy Shop (link in profile). 🐶
Is it time for woolly scarves yet?! I have illustrated a whole collection of heirloom quality Art Prints including this one “Fly me to the moon” (direct Etsy Shop link in profile).
Turning chilly over here, at least the sheep behind my garden are prepared! I am not feeling quite ready for woolly jumpers though, how about you? What is your favourite season? Spring is mine with all the flowering bulbs and blossom and fresh new hopeful growth. 🌱
A perfect sunny afternoon to stitch Squirrels and Toadstools on my garden bench! I wonder what would be your favourite things in nature to embroider?
It was a crisp Autumn day, my fiance and I had pulled on our walking boots to explore the Forest. The scent of Fir Trees and slanted morning sunlight was already magical.. Until right there in front of us, walking casually by was a beautiful Deer! This precious moment inspired this Embroidery Pattern. Now you can stitch a little magic into your days (available as an instant download in the Pattern section of my Etsy Shop - link in profile). #findyourmagic #creativelifehappylife
