They say never work with children and animals don’t they? What do they know? Why not pop over and follow my newest venture @the_curious_hound 🐾
Here's a bit of sunshine to brighten this dull and gloomy Sunday. You're welcome. x
I've photographed a number of sports stars over the years both in Wales and overseas. I'm very, very lucky. It'd be even better if I was a sports fan but I'm pretty clueless really (maybe that's a reason my clients like me??). My husband is always very impressed which gets me short term brownie points! So as I prepare myself for weeks of my husband watching random rugby games whilst shouting (pointlessly) at the TV, I thought I'd pop on and say GOOD LUCK to our boys in the #rugbyworldcup2019. I know it's a long time to be away from your families but I'm sure it'll fly by. Seemed fitting to share this image of one of our sporting greats with his fantastic family today. Thanks so much for letting me share images from your shoot, Gail & Shane. xx #WALES 🏉
It may be sunny outside (hoorah!) but I've got chillier climes on my mind (actually it's rather warm and cozy in my studio but you know what I mean!). Been going through some of the shots from last year's mini sessions and this one perfectly shows what these sessions are all about... 1. Fun 2. Throwing snowballs at me and my camera (which is fun) 3. Throwing snow over me (also fun) 4. Oh and did I mention FUN? Individual children, siblings, families and even pets - you're all invited into the general chaos that is my Winter Wonderland for one weekend only. This year I might wear armour!
The great editing marathon continues! *wipes brow* Bumped into this lovely bunch at my outside 'studio' on Sunday. Light was on point! So lucky to have all of these beautiful locations right on my doorstep.
Today I did some calculations and realised I’ve taught well over 300 people on my photography for beginners classes and 121 tuition over the years. 😮 This doesn’t even include my online trainees!! I just love doing these classes and seeing the results my students achieve afterwards. 🎓📷. My last group class of 2019 is coming up in October if you fancy seeing what the fuss is about. Head to my website for all the details!
Crazy isn’t it? Now the kids are back I seem to be on a countdown to the end of the year! I’m not one for wishing my life away (god forbid) but I’m on a mission. Diary is filling up nicely and I’m prepping for Ch*****as as we speak. I stop shooting on location in the 3rd week of November and there aren’t many weekend spots left for my Wild & Wonder on location sessions now. I’m wound up like a top and very excited for my busiest time of the year! Bring it on.
Happy Monday! Back in the studio and I'm on an editing mission this week! Last week was all a bit all over the place. My youngest started high school and I dropped off my eldest at university - it was all a bit of an emotional rollercoaster! It seems like yesterday that they were this size - bouncing on my knee, full of giggles. *sob*. Here's a sneaky peek for a very patient Mum as I plough through my editing mountain!
I'm going to really miss these trees as this year will be their last outing. ☹️ It’s their third year after all. I handcraft these beauties every year (it takes me ages but I've got quicker over time). They are made from sculpted paper and are a real labour of love. It's very much a 3D set (no printed backdrops here!) and the kids just love it! Only 8 weeks to go. Link to book in bio.
