Your pelvic floor is the group of muscles that run from your tailbone all the way up to your pubic bone. It supports all your abdominal organs. It assists in going to the toilet. It gets stressed while you are pregnant and carrying heavy things. It acts much in the same way as your diaphragm except it supports all your vital bits! It’s often compared to a “hammock” which makes it appear loose and flappy but I prefer to picture it like a ‘DOME” toned and strong giving your core the proper support it needs. Men also have a pelvic floor and use it all the time.
