Another one from this morning. Love these two so much. 📷 by my mama
Happy Saturday morning ☀️ Just said just goodbye to my parents after four full days together. We showed them around Montreal, Zack & I had our first date night since we left NYC & we all ate so much delicious food! Always so grateful to see them and for the chance to snag the rare family photo. ❤️ • PS. Weekend links are on the blog • You'll find the direct link there to @amyfrancesphoto's @documentedworkshop which is taking place in Brooklyn this September for those of you interested in deepening your photo skills! @amyfrancesphoto has taught Zack and I most of what we know about photography & even gave my mom some pointers who snapped this! 😉📸
Grammy & Papa are in Montréal!
So excited to announce that I'm bringing recipes back to Household Mag! I had high hopes for being able to keep them going on the road but cooking in unfamiliar kitchens is tricky & photographing food with a toddler running around is even trickier so I'm leaning on my girls in NYC, @punch.pastry & @amyfrancesphoto. In light of back to school we're starting with this SUPER SIMPLE salad the whole family will love. Snag the recipe on the householdmag.com! 📷: @amyfrancesphoto • • • #food52 #feedfeed #salad #52grams #foodblogger #f52summer #summereats #thefeedfeed #foodstyling #foodphotography #instafood
I want my friends to understand that staying out of politics or being sick of politics is privilege in action. Your privilege allows you to live a non-political existence. Your wealth, your race, your abilities or your gender allows you to live a life in which you likely will not be a target of bigotry, attacks, deportation, or genocide. You don't want to get political, you don't want to fight because your life and safety are not at stake. It's hard and exhausting to bring up issues of oppression (aka get political). The fighting is tiring. I get it. Self-care is essential. But if you find politics annoying and you just want everyone to be nice, please know that people are literally fighting for their lives and safety. You might not see it, but that's what privilege does. -Kristen Tea of @motherwiselife Speak up, donate to the organizations that need it most & take your first step in the direction of change. Elizabeth Gilbert shared a link to some actionable steps for those of you who don't know where to start. It's in my profile now too. Today's #householdspaces interview is with the beautiful @ohdeardrea. Her and her sweet family are in the process of packing their bags to move to Guatemala, but before they say goodbye to South Florida we're chatting about home, 16 years of blogging and how you can rent this colorful spot on #airbnb! Anyone else have an almost two year old that is ULTRA clingy these days? You wouldn't be able to tell by this photo, but I swear going to the bathroom, taking a call or doing anything that's not 100% Owen these days feels almost impossible. I'm sure it's a phase like most things, but man, I could use a nap like this 😴 ••••••• ON THE BLOG • Sharing our super simple process for finding the perfect neighborhoods on #airbnb! This photo feels as much like yesterday as it feels like another lifetime. It's hard to believe that we're in our fourth month of travel, yet it feels like this has been our life for so long now. We've experienced such a wide range of emotions through this process, but in this moment I feel at such peace with time and our decisions. My heart is full as I look back on the last few months, where we are today and our plans for the future. Just feeling really really grateful for it all. 📷: @amyfrancesphoto
Made it to Montréal a few days ago & we've been laying low recovering from jet lag and a cold that knocked us all out, but YOU GUYS. Look at this #airbnb! It's by far the biggest place we've ever stayed in (or lived in for that matter) and it already feels like home. So excited to spend the next month here & to explore the city this weekend with not much else on the agenda! Happy weekend to you ☀️ •••••••• PS. Anyone taking an end of the summer road trip?! Since we just took our first ever road trip with Owen, this week's links are all focused around road trips! Comedy specials to listen to, podcasts, playlists, games etc! Link in profile.
