Did I tell you guys I'm taking a Photography course this year? Yep. We haven't done a lot yet, but I've already learned a few things I'll be using a lot when I take photos. . I finished Reap the Shadows today, and I must say I was a little disappointed. It was good - don't get me wrong - but it lacked that edge that made me love the other books so much. I felt like Piper was a little too back-and-forth amd honestly a bit whiny, totally out of character. She used to be so badass and I miss that! I hope the last book is better! . QOTD: How do you find new bookstagrammers? I check out as many as my followers as possible, then I find a lot through Insta's recommendations.
I'm really late with this, but here it is; my monthly shoutout session! The rules are the following: ☕ Must be following me (and I will be checking, and don't follow to unfollow, it will ban you from any future shoutouts) ☕ Must be a bookish account ☕ Post a screenshot of my feed or your favourite photo of mine on your story and tag me in it ☕ Leave up for the full 24 hours ☕ Comment done on this post and tag a friend you think would like to participate ☕ Tell me your favourite book boyfriend And that's it! I will return ALL in batches once I close this. I'll leave it open at least all of next week.
No, you're not dreaming. I really did post twice in one day. The light in this photo turned out really weird, but otherwise I really like how it turned out, so I'm using it anyway. . @starsandsonder is releasing some new bookmarks in a few days, amd believe me, they're gorgeous! Yiu definitely do not want to miss them (and you can get 15% off by using my code FAERY15). . QOTD: Where do you take your photos? I take them on my floor by the door (with the door wide-open) because it's the only place with good lighting.
I was tagged by @whispersofthoughts to do the #tvshowsmoviesbooks tag, so here we go! . ☕ A TV show you want to start but keep on procrastinating? Game of Thrones ☕ Movies you've watched more than once? Dirty Dancing (I watched it twice in one day, started it over immediately after it was finished 😂) ☕ Funniest TV show? I don't watch a lot, but I've seen a few episodes of The Big Bang Theory ☕ Favourite TV show characters? Uh... as I said, I don't watch a whole lot of TV shows, so I honestly have no idea ☕ Most anticipated movie? It's already out, but I haven't seen it yet so I decide it counts; Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge ☕ TV show that will make you cry when it's over? As I said, I don't really follow any series, so I'll say no show.
I think I managed to get out of my reading slump before it became a real problem. So I'm back on track again and buddy-reading Yield the Night with @chezreadz! She's making me both really excited and a bit scared. . It's Friday tomorrow! And I have the whole weekend off! I'm hoping to get a lot of reading done and maybe organize my new bookshelves. And rest a lot, because I'm so tired. . QOTD: What's your favourite kind of photos to take? I love taking photos with a blurred background or foreground!
I'm currently reading three different books and my head is a mess. I know better. Why do I put myself through this? I seriously don't get what I'm doing right now. . Okay, short post today because I'm going back to reading. Sorry about that! I'll hopefully be back tomorrow woth a longer one! . QOTD: What are you currently reading? I'm reading This Savage Song, Yield the Night and Opposition. I'm getting confused.
I think I'm starting to get into a reading slump and it's seriously the worst possible timing. I have so many series to finish and I just caught up to my reading challenge. Right now I'm rereading Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and hoping it will help. . The good news is I have a reading assignment in English class, and I'm reading This Savage Song for it, which means I will have to read it. . QOTD: How do you deal with reading slumps? I try and reread old favourites or read some really light contemporaries.
I got my new watercolours today, meaning my bookmarks from now on will be made of those and not my pencils. These colours are high-quality which means the bookmarks will be slightly more expensive, but it's definitely worth it - these colours are really good. I'm currently working on getting the listings up, so the shop will be up next week already! . I absolutely love this bookmark from @starsandsonder! Blue is my favourite colour, and the shades in this one are so freaking pretty! You should definitely go get yourself some - and use FAERY15 for a special discount! . QOTD: What general bookish bookmarks would you like to see in my shop?
I'm planning on opening my Etsy shop soon! I'm working on the exact date, but probably within two weeks. I now have ten designs, plus I'll be doing costum orders, so I'll have a few listings from the behinning. This is a sneak peak of some if the first designs I made, and all will be available when I open my shop. . I'm going to have international shipping, and I will probably use padded envelopes to avoid bending in the mail, but I still have to check some things out. . QOTD: What bookmarks do you think I should do? I want to have a mix of bookmarks from really popular books (like ACOTAR) and popular but less famous ones (like Wintersong and TLC).
I just finished Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller and it was amazing! A definitive 5/5 stars, it was so much better than I'd expected! I loved Sal, the plotbwas fast-paced and interesting and I loved the world! You really need to read it! . My friend @chezreadz is starting my favourite series (finally)! Time for payback for all the torture she's put me through *rubs hands together and laughs evilly* . QOTD: What is your favourite standalone? Mine is anything by Kasie West!
Tower of Dawn is finally out in the world! In all honesty, I don't think I'll read it yet. I have a pile longer than my arm to read in September, so I'll probably read it closer to the release of the last book. I'm still excited about it, though! . I finally got back to writing today. I haven't had time since school started, I've honestly forgotten about it a little, but now I'm back on it. My goal is to have it finished by the end of October. Also really excited about a new idea I've been playing around with for a few months. . QOTD: How excited are you about ToD?
It's the beginning of September (I know, I'm totally late, but I've had the busiest weekend) amd you know what that means? My monthly shoutout session! I don't know if I'll be able to post it this week, but at the latest beginning of next week. . As for TBRs, I quit doing them because I can never follow through with them, but I hope to finish some of the series I'm reading, amd also a few ARCs and review copies I have. . QOTD: What books are you hoping to read in September?
