Live from Shapeshifters: John Davis performs “The Singing Sun” Sunday, Sept. 20, 7pm. Filmmaker and musician John Davis will perform improvised music to two 16mm films shown side by side. One film follows the life cycle of the honeybee, while the other uses plant matter as source material for a cameraless cyanotype film. The two films together highlight the tension between the formal yet temporal elements of matter existing in constant transformation and motion. Viewers are invited to watch this by tuning in on September 20th from 7-8pm to watch the livestream: http://www.shapeshifterscinema.com/livestream
