Morning people 💓 I'm trying to get a good start of the day (in reference to yesterday's post) with a good breakfast 😋 and I kinda need it considering everything has gone wrong these past two days: my bike broke on the day I needed to travel 20 km and public transport wasn't an option, during lat pull downs I hit myself on the head with the bar, I burned my hand making egg muffins - which, I were to put a positive spin on it, are still a recipe in development, I kicked over my open water bottle at the gym. And well, I've only gotten minimal sleep which maybe rather be another point on this list is the cause for all my clumsiness 🙈⠀ At least today is a new day (and I've only dropped my hand into the oatmeal by reflex because I dropped the raisin jar. But on the good side, I've made it to uni without any accidents)! ☀️

Repeat after me: It's okay not to be superwoman 🌟 I just realised why I've been feeling so down lately: it's because I'm not a superhero. Or to be more exact there are so many things I really want to do and I just can't do it all, especially not at once.⠀ .⠀ 🌟I have dreams and goals to achieve.⠀ 🌟I have family and friends I want to spend time with.⠀ 🌟I wanna do good in school.⠀ 🌟I want to workout and make my body strong and injury-free again.⠀ 🌟I wanna create things for my blog.⠀ 🌟I wanna be a good girlfriend.⠀ .⠀ But I can't do it. Not all at once.⠀ Not with a body and mind that's kinda broken. Even with perfect health, it would still be a struggle.⠀ .⠀ There's a fine line between striving for improvement and striving for perfection. One makes you better. The other paralyses you.⠀ .⠀ I'm writing this for myself as well as you who struggle with these issues. Who thinks you're alone and romanticise other people, see them as superheroes. Who thinks you're not good enough.⠀ .⠀ Here's what I want to tell you: It's okay not to make progress every day. Some days you gotta just take care of yourself and your basic needs, nothing else. I'm looking forward to work out tonight because DEADLIFTS are on the program 💪🏻 I recently added it to my routine because my knee is getting stronger. Now I just need to (re)learn the technique - and while I do that I'll still keep the weight relatively low. The last thing I want is a new set back because I got impatient! 🏋🏼♀️ Are deadlifts part of your workouts?
Lunch is this yummy spinach omelette 😋 I'm getting ready to go to uni (even though I have the day off) because there's a seminar on football science - so basically the best thing in the world 😉⠀ Yeah this is the kind of thing my inner nerd gets excited about and I can't wait to see what I'll learn today! 🙌🏻

🎊 Happy Friday! 🍓I'm just afternoon-snacking on a smoothie 🙏🏻 I'm fortunate enough to have the upcoming week off to recharge after exams. The next semester isn't going to be any less stressful, so I better enjoy my time off! 🍑 Also my glutes are feeling the DOMS after lots of deadlifting last night so they need the rest!
ONE ARM ROW 🏋🏼♀️ 💪🏻This is an awesome back exercise and a good alternative to bent over barbells rows. Try it the next time you're at the gym!
