Nows the time to register for our Coasts & Climate Change course being offered this Fall! Travel dates are October 10-13. Students will travel to the Outer Banks to see the impacts of climate change and sea level rise along the coast of NC. Meet with land managers, conservation organizations, and local businesses, like one of our program partners @twiddyobx , to learn about how they live with changing landscapes and hear how they are planning for the future. For more info on the course or to check out pictures from last year click the link in our bio. #obx #climatechange #nccoast #wfusustainablegrad

Our students capped off a week of pre-semester workshops with a tour of a @repreve bottle processing center where we learned about recycling systems and supply chain management. Here, recycled plastic bottles are chopped, washed, and melted where they’re turned into flake and then chip. The chips can then be heated and spun into REPREVE fibers, the fibers spun into yarn, and the yarn into fabrics! Unifi, which makes REPREVE has recycled over 17 billion plastic bottles and is aiming for 20 billion by 2020! #sustainability #wfu #repreve #wakeforest #recycle
