Whew! It's been a little while since I chatted with you guys here on Instagram! I think it's partly because I get so distracted with IG stories...watching AND sharing. I've been sharing my breakfasts there this week if you're interested. Anyway. Today I shared my recipe on the blog for a creamy green smoothie that your kids will love (mine do!). I think people often times get green smoothies wrong. If it's gonna be a meal, it NEEDS to have plenty of good fat and protein. Plus the greens need to be processed properly to be more digestible. Check out my tips + grab the recipe on the blog (link you-know-where). #butteredsideup #eatyourgreens #greensmoothie
Have you ever tasted homemade cream sodas? Guys. They are amazing! A carbonated beverage that contains fat?! That's my jam. A couple years ago I shared 3 recipes for flavored syrups for cream sodas on Pioneer Woman's blog. I did vanilla, raspberry, and orange. You can grab the recipes on the Food & Friends section of her blog, or search cream soda on Buttered Side Up. Link in bio! #pwfoodfriends
Happy 4th of July! Growing up, we had the tradition of Red, White, and Blue(berry) Waffles on Independence Day morning. It was a treat we always looked forward to. Get the recipe/details over on @thepioneerwoman's Food & Friends section (@pwfoodfriends). Do you have any 4th of July food traditions?
Garlic packs such a huge punch of flavor for such a small ingredient. It instantly takes a dish from bland to exciting. I'm talking all about it (including its nutrition, how to select and store it, and my favorite way of mincing it) over on The Pioneer Woman's Food & Friends section (link in profile). #garlic #food101 #pwfoodfriends . http://thepioneerwoman.com/food-and-friends/garlic-101/
