Sunday. Herbs and greens from the garden, eggs not from the garden, @iggysbread_downunder smothered with butter made by @gem_mer. Coffee, @satpaper, c’est bon.
Lunch time with @sazzcat and greens from the garden scenes. How nice is slowing down?
A joy to tie that apron on and be back on the floors of @bennelong_sydney. Made even sweeter by looking up and watching the rain hit that glass ceiling over the weekend. It’s a beauty of a dining room on any day but I love it in the rain.
I woke to two eggplants on the kitchen table, plucked from our veg garden that dreamy housemate @gem_mer picked for me for lunch. Drizzled them with olive oil, rubbed them with harissa and popped them on the barbecue. While they were sizzling, I plucked some Tuscan kale and mint from the garden. Leftover Dahl topped with eggplant, sautéed kale, coconut yoghurt, mint, tahini and a drizzle of za’atar oil. It’s nice to be home.
Peach on a beach
Lunch. Rocket, basil and tomatoes plucked from the garden, peaches from up the road, grilled sardines. This was after swim two of three yesterday. Here’s to a slow and simple 2020.
@claydonpark_milton goods making lunch time a very good time. Spiced roasted pumpkin, miso-drizzled kale, crispy chickpeas, cucumber, herbs from the garden, tahini, black sesame.
Nature making my heart tingle. 2020: grow more vegetables, eat more vegetables.
