In my eyes, this plant was headed for the trash. I haven’t watered it in over 3 months and it rarely gets any sunshine in my toddlers room (hello blackout curtains). The small amount of plant that you see is nothing compared to what it was a few moments before taking this picture. It was FULL of dead drooping pieces (leaves? Sections???) I put it by the door to take to the trash. . My son walked by it and says “mama, what is this doing here?” “It’s dead, Bud, I’m taking it to the trash” Silence as he looks it over “But mama, it just needs some water and then it will be happy” “You want me to make your plant happy, bud?” “Yes!!” . So here it sits. I pulled all the dead drooping pieces (we are left with a sad 5-6 pieces), gave it some water, and am letting it get some sunshine as I think of a new permanent home for it. He has informed me that it is very happy now ☺️ . Just a little friendly reminder, from my 3 year old, to take care of the things you already own, make them happy, and don’t be too quick to give up on something. (Here’s hoping it makes a comeback! 🌵🌱)
A year ago today, I woke up early in the morning excited and hopefully yet also dreading to take another pregnancy test. As that faint second line showed up I was so happy I just began crying as I ran upstairs to my husband to announce the news. I can’t believe it’s been a year since we found out about this beautiful baby girl. Now I can’t imagine life without our little blessing baby 💗
Baby’s first Christmas 😍
“And though it’s been said many times, many ways, Merry Christmas to you”
He got Christmas decorations in his room this year and he absolutely loves them! . It’s the little things you guys. We didn’t do anything crazy or extravagant and we didn’t get a ton of gifts (I think we got him 3...I’m not sure...had to hide them because he peaked at one 😏). . It’s the decorations in his room, dancing around the living room to Christmas music, Friday Christmas movie day with mama, and collecting sticks on our walk to make star ornaments for the tree. These are the things that he will remember and cherish (how do i know? Well he asks me all day, “mama, so you remember when we....” fill in the blank with one of the above listed 😆) . This Christmas has been unrushed and slow and I hope we keep that as a tradition because I absolutely love it!
She’s my favorite gift that we received this year 💗 . A baby’s first Christmas is always the best! She’s loving all the lights and the built in play gym (aka tree and ornaments 😆)
