I came up with this design 13 years ago when we were living in New Orleans and knew it was a keeper. I am redesigning my website and was photographing some jewelry using my new lightbox and thought I'd pop in. These were picked up by Step By Step Wire Jewelry Magazine in 2012 and was my first design featured in a national magazine. Next week I am hopefully signing a lease on a new studio... three years has taught me that I don't like working from home. Onward to new experiences and opportunities! My new space has room for teaching too...I'm pretty excited to get this thing done! #studio #earrings #handmade #
So my little #whitewalker #poodle looks more like a #schnauzer doesn't she? We are all adjusting to her blindness and I cropped her ears so she can hear easier as well as growing out her whiskers so she can feel her way around. And I'm about to procure an outside of the house studio this week too.
The one in the middle is for a special friend...some everyday juicy necklaces for warm weather. We all need some warmth don't we?!?! Took a long sabbatical from socials while I retreated. I'm ditching some things to make room for something new. How about you? Im fine btw....than you all for the pm's and inquiry. Glad to be back!!!! #necklaces #jewelrymaking #makersgonnamake
#birdwatching #meditationspace I'm about to go back into the studio and excited to be getting my #mojo back!!!
Sadie and I are chilling on the back porch this evening, listening to the March winds. It's been a trying month for us but Sadie is responding to her treatment and we are making some progress. I had to make a trip to Kentucky to say goodbye to a family member, enjoyed a visit from my mother and step-father and been battling some issues of my own outside of of the external stuff. But a lot of change and discovery has been the result of all the chaos. It's like the winds of March weren't just affecting the trees in my yard, but there has been a mighty force in my life breaking branches and clearing out the deadwood in many ways. Here's to April and new beginnings!
A lot has happened here in the last few weeks that has required a deep surrendering to what we can and can't do in times of crisis, no matter what the scale. I'm asking for any healing prayers or added energy you might feel in response to this post for my dog Sadie. She is really sick right now and we are trying to get her stabilized. Those of you that know me personally know what she means to me and Shayne. These last few weeks have been hard on both of us but we are confident that whatever happens is for all of our higher good. Even if the experiencing of it sucks in the process. #dogsofinstagram #dogmom #poodlesofinstagram #faith
Bumped into my friend Terah at the @roanokecoop and look at these hard working hands!! #artistsoninstagram #syncronicity #friendships
Hello.. last week was super challenging for my family. I drove my father to Kentucky to say goodbye to a terminal relative and when I got back, my dog, Sadie , was diagnosed with diabetes and Cushing's disease, along with the possibility of a tumor on her groin. I'm in the middle of a shock right now and frankly, trying to ride it out as best I can. We are treating the diabetes first, so shayne and I have learned how to give her insulin and we aren't leaving her side as we continue to grasp how to help our girl the best. Big transitional energies have been in play over the past 10 days and my family is certainly feeling them deeply.
