I'm officially back from my trip to NY, and I'm feeling revived and fulfilled. - Being a digital nomad for the past ten days - working from NY and PA - was the greatest experience. One I'm hoping to repeat all over the globe in the coming years. Because that's the beauty of owning your own business. You get to run it how and where you want. - Also, working with a non-profit is extremely gratifying - particularly @lupuschickofficial and their mission. I highly recommend getting involved with an organization you believe in as a way to give back. - Finally, I have some wonderful passion projects happening in the next six months that are going to keep me pumped and moving, and I hope you do too. Doing things you love, things you believe in, and things you're beyond excited about, keeps you grounded, motivated, and joyful. And I wish you all the joy in life. - Here's to the next level! 💋
Repetition is a beautiful thing. Such a beautiful thing that it's actually one of the fundamentals of design. - Having repeating elements in your brand and on your website makes them appear consistent, cohesive, and more beautiful. 💋 - The same can be said for life. Those little bits of repetition that we find annoying are actually a good thing. They keep us stable and grounded, and give us a sense of security in the known. - I'm a true sucker for repetition. Planning content can be a really frustrating and time-consuming part of the month. A lot of people struggle with figuring out exactly what to say to their audience. - What do they really want to hear? How do you decide what to talk about? Will they care? - You have three options here: 1. Guess - This is a bad idea, because you're not in the same place as your audience is. You can't hope to guess exactly what it is they're struggling with this month. 2. Reach out on social media - This is a good option, especially if you have a really engaged audience on SM that responds to you. They'll generally tell you one or two things that they're really struggling with, which you can then help them with. 3. Ask them through email - This is my favorite option. The people on your email list are generally really invested in listening to you and your expertise, and they're willing to respond to you in detail. You'll get a lot of valuable insights about their needs and frustrations which you can turn into incredibly valuable content. - So now that I've brought this up, tell me — what do you need help with right now? Packing my bags, because Saturday I fly to upstate New York for ten days to hang out with the incredibly fun @marisazeppieri_lupuschick. She runs @lupuschickofficial which is a non-profit I work with besides running my full-time biz. While I'm in New York, I'll be: - continuing to run my biz -- helloooo location freedom! - doing some styled shoots with @hugandquiche 💋 - going to a wellness conference in PA for the non-profit - working towards a long-term goal with my pal Marisa AND - hanging out with the weirdest dog I've ever met Basically, I'll be working twice as hard, and loving every minute of it. Loving this look from @anthropologie - kind of feel like I need to go on a beginning-of-the-week shopping spree. - Maybe finding the perfect pieces for my own gallery wall will be on my winter to-do list this year. Because let's face it - I live in Wisconsin. The time from now until winter is measured in weeks, not months. 😂

As I count down to my new brand and site launch in two days, I can't stop thinking about time. Time is our most precious commodity, both in our business, and personal lives. What we spend our time on, who we spend it with, and how we use it to make the most out of every day is incredibly important to our overall happiness and health. So ask yourself: am I spending my time in the right places? On the right things? With the right people? Make the most out of your time in this world, and above all, be happy with the you that you are. 💕
Branding: it's one of those things you have to work at until you nail it. It doesn't just happen overnight—it evolves as you do, as your business does. - The same can be said of content. We're constantly testing new ways of presenting what we know, new topics we're interested in talking about, and new things we're learning about. - These are good things. It's important to grow and learn and expand our expertise to include things we didn't even realize existed before. To take the time to seek out knowledge and share it with others in hopes of helping them grow with us. - That's what I'm focusing on in the coming months. Learning more about marketing, perfecting my photography skills, and expanding my gardening hobby. - What do you want to learn about before the year is over?
