He proposed in Antelope canyon, and the tour guide was in on it! For my early morning readers, we got a sweet engagement story on the blog! Plus she wore a dress to our session that matched these colors perfectly!
👉🏻on the blog! Believe it or not these two have never been professionally photographed together! I think people may have this perception when they look at our Instagram or website, that everyone is like a model, or at least they are really comfortable in front of the camera! This could not be farther from the truth! I would say 95% percent of our couples arrive to their session and feel nervous or tell me how not photogenic they are! So this is part of the reason we love the engagement session SO much! It is vital to gaining that level of comfort while being photographed! Plus it is so fun and we learn how you guys interact as a couple, and you get to warm up to the camera which makes wedding day so much better! Ruben and Kelly were absolutely adorable together and it was so fun as we all walked around together snapping and chatting about heir upcoming wedding! Tonight I'm featuring Ruben and Kelly's @royalpalmshotel engagement session! 👉🏻#linkinbio
I remember taking this photo on K+M's wedding day, the rain was coming down pretty hard for most of the day but it only added to the uniqueness of it! Their planner @andrealeslieweddings pulled out the cutest white umbrellas for the whole bridal party, and the entire @sassiweddings transformed their gorgeous private room into a stunning backdrop of florals and fireplace. The subtle drops of rain adding to the ambiance of this gorgeous day. Well I'm excited to be back here @sassiweddings! Come walk this amazing property, have some eats and treats and I am even doing an incentive for the first ten brides that come say hi! We are so excited to partner with Sassi for this fun event! See you pretty brides soon! 💕#sassiwedding #sassiweddings
It's a good day for a Friday! Going to the movies and Costco! 🙌🏻 Maybe I've just been working too much but that just sounds like an awesome way to spend the day. Popcorn and a cold theatre, followed by samples and a slice of pizza! Yes! It's gonna be a beautiful day and great weekend! #royalpalms #royalpalmsengagement
Some transparency. I'm sitting here staring at my food and just feeling completely overwhelmed. It has been a really busy week and I feel like my brain is just trying to catch up with everything. Guys I've been doing this for 7 years now so you'd think I'd just have been there and done it all. But this week was full of a ton brand new experiences and things that made me step *totally* out of my comfort zone. I took headshots for 64 industry pros at @theknot event. Now I've done headshots- but never that many and I really wanted to make the experience great and special for everyone that stepped in front of my camera. I'm not sure if I succeeded in that to be honest. I wanted more time with each and every person I met, but I just didn't have the time as the lines formed. I pray people felt cared for and special as they came in and out. Yesterday I sat in front of a video camera for 45 mins at my #likesessions. I'm not gonna lie- I cried during one of the takes; trying to convey why I love wedding photography and how honored I am every time a couple chooses me to photograph their once in a lifetime day. I felt vulnerable as the tears came, but it was all genuine so we kept filming and we didn't reshoot it. And I'm glad we didn't. Honestly I'm uncomfortable with crying in front of anyone let alone on camera (duh) but I prefer people see the real me, even the emotional side, because for me what I do does come from the heart, and it *is* so personal, and I pour myself out in every shoot I do. To the point of having to sit and stare blankly to soak it all in and let me mind and heart sync with all the experiences and newness. So that's where I am today, overwhelmed, a little emotional, but mostly grateful- for all relationships and opportunities I've been given in this beautiful life. #reallife
It's been a full few days and we are still on cloud nine after yesterday's amazing event at the @thesaguaroaz! Every day in this industry brings something new and exciting! I'm so thankful to do what I do and have enriching days like this surrounded people I love! #BridalParty #arizonaweddingphotographer #theknot #outsidewedding #
