It's feeling like Fall! Picking up some fresh blooms at the Farmers Market this cool crisp Saturday morning in my city. #portland #farmersmarket
Cotton candy skies over Portland tonight - one of the nicest evenings we've had in a while since all the wildfires and smoke have been going. #portland #sunset🌅
This hangs in my upstairs hallway and sometimes in the rush of life, I run by it and don't really heed what it says. But lately, with these horrible natural disaster across the US and the rest of the world, with today being the anniversary of the terrible act of evil on 9/11, the words have taken on a new meaning. We need to treat everyone around us as people we love, even though we might not know them or have been to where they are. Just because I haven't been to Miami or Houston or the Caribbean, doesn't mean the people there need my love and help any less. Let's all extend a helping hand more as time goes on, let's all offer a little more love and kindness as time goes on, and let's remember that love always wins over evil.
Thinking of Florida this weekend and everyone in the path of #Irma, but as devestating as this hurricane is going to be to the US, we must also not forget about the Caribbean islands that don't have massive governments to come to their aid after the fact. We need to start thinking of ourselves more as citizens of the world and helping each other no matter which country we might call home. #citizensoftheworld
Wearing a sweatshirt in the cool morning breeze, drinking a coffee and strolling the Farmers Market. Perfect Saturday morning! #portland #farmersmarket
Coffee date with one of my graduated international students who is moving back home this morning. #portland #butfirstcoffee
Was flipping through my upcoming calendar this morning and realized that 5 weeks from today we head to Paris to celebrate a long weekend for my birthday in my favorite city!!! If you need me until then, I'll be here just counting down the days... #paris
The beautiful and breathtaking Columbia River Gorge just outside of Portland, one of the most picturesque spots in my state is burning. With massive fires all over Oregon and Washington, we are reminded in severe times like these how much we take the beauty of our homes for granted. And as the wildfires continue to burn, it's so sad to see so much destroyed. Heartbroken for my state today 💔#prayforrain #eaglecreekfire
