I am so in love with Nate & Tovah. While it is hard for me to understand how anyone would not want to spend 4 hours doing portraits (lol), these two let me drag them around their church for many different looks. I love this photo. It's so sweet and so them. Nate and Tovah, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your big day!
What a night! I was so nervous heading off to my first engagement session of the year, but David and Erin made me feel at home. I love couples who match my personality. I had so much fun laughing with these two while I drug them all around Williams Tree Farm. I cannot wait for your big day! I loved so many images, guys. It was so hard to pick which ones to post tonight! Gah, aren't they perfect together? #williamstreefarm #rockton #rocktonphotographer #illinoisphotographer #engagement #hjpfam

I had such an amazing few days with a few of my favorite people! Aaron and Erin were married nearly 6 years ago and have welcomed me and my camera back to Des Moines to capture some moments with their new edition: Charlie. Isn't he just the cutest!? I am so excited to get outdoor photography back in full swing. Happy spring, y'all!
The crazy weather this week has my mind all over the place! This is, hands down, one of my favorite engagement photos. While I may not be 100% for the cold, I am always down for photos in the snow! Happy Saturday, folks.
Can you believe we almost hit 70 today and are now talking snow this weekend!? I'm not gonna lie, I do love portraits in the snow, but I just took my sandals out and am sad to put them away for just a bit longer. Have to love the weather in Northern Illinois!
Have you been out enjoying this gorgeous weather? My daughter and I spent nearly three hours walking around Rock Cut this afternoon. It got me thinking about shooting because, well, generally if I am in a park, it's because I'm shooting. I am SO ready to be shooting weddings again. Is it busy season yet!? Thanks for the jolt of excitement, Mother Nature!!
