My motto this season is to buy less, buy quality, buy vintage, as much as possible. I couldn’t get around the fact that I needed lots of chairs to go around our 9ft, original #designinstituteofamerica dining table. So I’ve been searching high and low for a #mcm #danishchair that would be both comfortable and practical. Imagine my surprise when I was able to source two separate matching sets to be able to seat 10 for the #holidays. I’m super stoked!
A painting we bought on our travels while in the Netherlands. About 95% of my design inspiration for this home came from our first trip to #Holland. I wanted clean, modern design with traditional details and craftsmanship, and #Dutch design fit the bill.
There may be leaves on the ground, but Halloween is over and a red holiday bow now adorns our wreath. #cuechristmascarols #isitchristmasyet #arlingtonheightshistoricnbhd Photo credit @allieidrac
Switched out my cowhide rug to this beautiful antique #Persian #Heriz carpet. Just loving the pale blues and browns that are hand knotted to make this beautiful geometric pattern💙
#Notmyhouse but a super cute historic house in #Chicago. Can you see the Halloween skeletons?
Sometimes you need a full wall of #cabinetry made by a fantastic #Amish cabinetmaker. Planning out my kitchen took a little bit longer than using other conventional methods and craftsmen as my #Amishcabinetmaker does not have the same access to email and phone, but the process was still smooth enough — and the end product awesome enough — to make it well worth it.
