I couldn't resist posting this workout from my Hiit class last night. It started with an outdoor warm up sprint and it was three rounds of each of those sets with outdoor running in between. It's a testament to how far I've come in 7 months that I could actually do it. (Not going to tell you how thrashed I was at the end of 50 minutes though!) 😳
Lesson two in the #janomesummercamp18 . • @janomeamerica had a really great project for this lesson: a giant popsicle pillow!! Rosetta loved it. She had no problems understanding and as I read each step of the instructions to her she jumped right in saying I got this Gram! 😂 And she did! • She wanted to add buttons for the eyes so we had a good button sewing lesson too! Don't you love her choice of cheerful summer fabric? • After just two lessons I highly recommend this summer camp if you've got a child in your life you'd like to teach to sew! Go to @janomeamerica and follow the link in their profile for info! It's fun! • #janomecamp18 #janomeamerica #janome #teachingkidstosew
Rosetta and I did two sewing lessons today in the #janomesummercamp18 ! This little girl breezed through lesson one. We've done quite a bit of sewing together and so it was reassuring to me how much she actually does know! • The sewing part of lesson one was to make a bookmark. When I told Rosetta to pick her fabric she went right to Jera's @quiltingintherain fabric! ❤ I love that! • This darling project was perfectly laid out by Janome with clear instructions for a little beginner to follow! • @janomeamerica #janomecamp18 #janome #janomeamerica #teachingkidstosew #woodlandrosebyjerabrandvig
Here I am waiting for my little six year old grand-girl to come so we can start our first lesson in the #janomesummercamp18 ! So much of what is in lesson one she knows and already does, so I think we'll breeze through and get to start lesson 2 today too! We have some catching up to do! • I've been needing some more structured classes for Rosetta since we've skipped a lot of the basics and I was so excited when I saw that @janomeamerica has nine weeks of lessons all laid out! • I'll be sure to keep you posted! • #janomeamerica #janome #janomecamp18 #teachingkidstosew
This past winter I asked my husband to build me a Little Free Library for our farm entrance. He did and we recently got it in place. Books of all kinds are my favorite and I have loved the philosophy behind the Little Free Library Organization for a long time: inspire a love of reading, build community, and spark creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world. Visit a Little Free Library where you can Take A Book and Share A Book. ~ I love the guest book we've included, as the Stewards of our Little Free Library are my little grand girls that love seeing who has visited our Library! ~ @littlefreelibrary #littlefreelibrary
When your littlest grand-girl tells you Gram, I need a sleeping bag for my doll for the beach. And we're leaving tomorrow... you take the hint and whip one up! And then get the reward of the tightest grand-girl hug there ever was! ❤❤ • #tashanoelcountrygirl Tutorial by @seekatesew
Getting all our huge hay bales out of the field and into the barn is a hot, sweaty job. I'm the truck/trailer driver which means I do a little driving a lot of waiting! 😂😂 #homeonthehilltop #hayforthewinter
Our second annual Baseball in the hayfield was a great success! Things we learned this year: ~ Two gallons of iced coffee is not enough! ~ The obstacle course for the kids was a favorite and a definite must for next year. ~ Hot weather is all good as long as there's shade and good friends! (And believe me it was HOT!) ~ No matter the time and work involved to pull it off; it's worth it! ~ Kids plus huge round hay bales equals hours of fun! ~ Friends that are willing to play baseball in a hot hayfield are the best friends to have! ~ Singing hymns at sunset was my favorite.
This is happening on our farm today! Baseball in the hay field!
