I know you’re all waiting to hear how it went!! 😂 First class - success! Picture two is one of the students with her bright happy Lecien fabric that she chose! (Post okay’d by her Mother!) ~ One of the things that’s always such a good lesson for me is that kids do not stress over choosing their fabric layouts. They just go for it. I need to learn this and stop over-analyzing every choice. ~ @lecien_fabrics #quiltingwithkids
Today is my first kids quilting class!!! So excited... and so nervous. How weird is that??? I love the little mini quilt I made simply from half square triangles and I think the girls will love it. They have SO many beautiful fabrics to choose from! Here we go....
The quilting class I’m teaching 10 little girls starts on Thursday and I want the girls to experience what it’s like to make a little mini quilt using quality fabric. So I reached out to Yoko @lecien_fabrics and she was so generous in contributing. Not only do the girls have quality fabric to sew with, now they have quality thread too! ~ Their generosity is amazing to me. And when a card of THANKS to me for asking Lecien to be part of the class is included in the package... Wow!! Thank you Yoko!! ❤️❤️ ~ #kidsquiltingclass #lecienfabrics
Homemade sourdough farmhouse loaf for a wet Saturday! I’m proud of this because sourdough bread is not easy to get just right. (I didn’t show you my flub-ups!) ~ I’ve had a sourdough starter going off and on for 30 years and recently my daughter Andrea @keepingitcozy started one for both of us. Nothing but flour, water and air! Our stomachs can handle this bread! (Maybe too well!!). Andrea makes the most gorgeous loaves... I’m learning! #sourdoughbreadfromscratch #companyfood
I’ve been asked by the local homeschool co-operative group if I would teach a quilting class this Semester (first class is next Thursday.) This is the little mini quilt I designed that I’ll be teaching. I’m finishing the hand quilting on it today! It is charm pack friendly which makes it really nice. Ten little girls between the ages of 9 -13. I’m nervous! I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how it goes!!
Yes. This is my language!! 😂😂
Moving cows in mud is not fun for us humans but Belle was happy!! And stinky... I think she might’ve tried to make friends with a skunk! 😱 🤦♀️
