Happy Monday, everyone! I enjoy a good Monday, and right now I'm sitting outside at my picnic table catching up on emails & mapping out this final full week of July, as my boys catch frogs in the ditch in our yard and baby girl takes her morning snooze. _ The sunshine is beautiful. The warmth is tempered by a cooler breeze off the Lake, but it is so luscious. _ Does summer mean a break or slowing down in business for your company or in your industry? Or is summertime the busy season? Let me know in the comments what your business is and how your summer has gone! _ For many of us with online businesses, things take somewhat of a backseat in the summer--or at least look a little different--but there hasn't been much of a slow-down for me. I'll be working hard on several client projects this week in order to take time off in August. I love my amazing clients and launching their highly anticipated projects, but I've also learned the importance of taking time to rest personally and build up Verity to be its best. _ That's what August will be for me. Resting. A little more time freedom. Enjoying my family. Working on things internally and fine-tuning aspects of Verity, client process, and what we offer for others and how that can serve them in business better. And hopefully a lot of ice cream and beach days. ☀️🍦
So proud of my IRL biz bestie, @wormewoole, for releasing her long-anticipated new product, the Hygge scarf! Just look at this handmade beauty. 😍 Like a blanket scarf with multiple ways to wear and style, just imagine all of the times you'd reach for the Hygge either at home or for going on little adventures. It's available for pre-order right now, and I've heard how much love and effort goes into one of these babies. So. worth. it. Go to @wormewoole and follow the link to see the listing. Yay, Sara!
I'm trying something new and theming the next 6 weeks, so that the majority of Verity's content revolves around the theme of copywriting. Writing for your business, writing for your brand, brand messaging, website copy, blogging & social media, and all that fun word stuff. You can expect blogs on the topic, as well as micro-blog social posts. _ Because you know what? Figuring out what to say can be tricky, but I know you can rock it. _ But first, I need your help! What do you struggle with when it comes to writing? _ - The written voice of your brand? - The pages of your website? - Knowing what to say in social media posts? - Figuring out how to promote your own stuff without sounding salesy? - The technical stuff, like grammar and punctuation? - Strategy or planning out impactful content? - Crafting effective emails for your list? _ Let me know what you think is HARD in the comments!
Hello, Friday, and hello, dear friends. I'm Lindsey, and I believe in hustling for a dream. I believe in the power of grit and stick-to-itiveness in order to accomplish big things, or small things for big purposes. _ But, I also believe in growing slower. I believe in valuing your own measure of success. I believe that your own metric is enough and that it is sufficient by which to weigh a positive outcome. _ So be encouraged that your efforts will not be unfruitful. If you're as passionate and determined and caring if an entrepreneur as I think you are, it will be all good, and no one should be able to guilt you into feeling inadequate. Remember that sometimes, your own metric of success is the quietest voice in your head, but this measure should hold the most weight in your business life. ❤️
