This simple sentence has been my way to tell myself slow the heck down for a few years now, and today it's more relevant than ever. Good things take time. It's taking time, but soon we'll be able to safely go out again and see our friends and family. It has taken (too much) time, but we're making strides toward the racial justice and racial equality is long overdue. Right now I'm grateful to take this time. To take this time to learn and grow. To take this time to rest and be healthy. To take this time to connect virtually with those I love. To take this time to clean and try new hobbies. To take this time to soak up the sunshine and sit in silence when I need it. Good things take time. We have the time, let's take it. The good things are coming.
This morning I learned the dangers of only posting a black square & that there are better ways to be an ally right now. There is so much more we can, and need to do. So let's try this again. 👇 In this post you will find resources that I have found helpful throughout the last few days. Ways to act. Resources to read. Places to donate. How to help and learn and grow. I will continue to post helpful resources and amplify Black voices on my stories. I hope you join me in doing the same - stop posting your normal content and use today to solely help spread resources and amplify Black voices. Standing in solidarity but not standing in silence. We have been silent for all too long on this matter. Black lives matter. Today, and always. . Credit: Each image here is tagged with the credit of the creator. I did not create these images.
TGIF 👏🎉 For a short week this week has sure felt loooonngggg. Lets do something we haven't done in a while here, it's time for a FRIDAY re-INTRODUCTION! I've gotten a handful of new followers lately so I figured it's time to tell you all a little about myself... Let's go! 👇 My name is Dani (what a shock, I know!) and I'm a 23 year old living right outside of Los Angeles. I love theme parks, theatre, and Gilmore Girls. I started blogging in 2014, as a college blogger and graduated 2 years ago - if you're still in school I've got a TON of great college resources still up on my blog. I recently worked my behind off to break into the super competitive entertainment industry and get a job with my dream company, so I'm super into career development and helping others find their paths. I have a loving smart golden retriever named Bodey who I accidentally made briefly TikTok famous (@bodzazillion) I'm one of the hosts of @thequarterlifecrisisclub podcast where we post new episodes every Tuesday and Friday (like today!) On my blog (link in bio!) I write about everything helping millennial women succeed - from money management tips to career advice and more. I'm happiest on a bench on Main Street USA, Disneyland just people watching... But I can also be totally content just laying in bed all day watching TV or out back in the sunshine with a good book 🥰 That's a little bit about me! Your turn 😉
Put on full makeup for the first time in quarantine and had to document it 😉 NEW TODAY: Check out the link in my bio for my newest YouTube video, sharing 4 ways that you can start to manage your money... Geared toward recent college graduates! 🎓💵 (also great for anyone looking to get their finances in order)
Behind the scenes ✌️🎬 Yes... I put on REAL pants for this! And no, this isn't my real bedroom 😉😂 Spent my lunch break today shooting a couple new YouTube videos! Expect some fun (& helpful, of course!) videos coming super soon 😉
These colorful flowers are working wonders to add a splash of color and brightness to my work from home setup 😍 Just don't tell anyone that they're fake 😉 What are you doing to bring color and sunshine into your quarantine life right now?
