Nostalgia in Art & Artchitecture: At BDW2019, Lebanese artist @alfredtarazi presented ‘The Lovers’ - an incisive exploration of the dynamics of Beirut in the 1970s through the projected lives of two of its urban legends: Miss Universe 1971 Georgina Rizk and the PLO’s Ai Hassan Salameh. . @andreacanclini, on the other hand, is a professor at the Politecnico Torino in Italy. His talk, ‘Nostalgia, or the real construction of a dream: from Disneyland to Celebration’, explored the neo-traditional planning of new towns in the USA. .
