Exactly how I felt about them damn bugs. side note: make sure to bathe in Deet before going to your session. You may still have a lot of mosquito bites but it's totally worth it - I swear!
I am truly so excited for this fall and all the family sessions I get to photograph!
So there was a time in my photography career that I just *hated* everything that was stiff and posed and the norm. Why? This photo right here explains exactly why those stiff and posed normal photos just weren't right for me. Life is about connection, emotion, living life as it's meant to be, and when things are forced it doesn't bring out the genuine side of people. What I am trying to get at, is that it's okay to let things go and be outside of the norm. Follow your heart within WHATEVER you are doing and know that you will be just fine. So next time you are with your children, forget about that load of dishes that has to get done (even though it's totally hard to do!), forget about that chore list and stop and listen to your children play, enjoy hearing those giggles and laughter. Soak it in. These moments when they are younger go by so quick (trust me, I still have a hard time swallowing the fact my youngest is now 4!), so, so, quick. Just take them in and love on them. You probably won't see much of them hugging and kissing on one another when they are older!
freckles...they get me every time.
just the way he plays with her hair - has me a blubbery mess!
Tonight was most definitely a success!
