Join us today for our last Sew-in before the summer break! 10am to 4pm at the CRCS St-Zotique. @dizzyquiltsblog will be giving an informal free-motion quilting demo, bring along your projects to work on and enjoy a rainy afternoon indoors with fellow quilters. (Free for members, $5 for non-members)
Bravo, Francine! C'est absolument magnifique! Repost from @francine.benoit - Montage terminé pour la courtepointe de charité du Skill Builder Challenge 2017-2018 de la Guilde de courtepointe moderne de Montréal. Maintenant piquage! #mtlmqgskillbuilder #mtlmqgskills #mtlmqg
Finish up those #hexies and bring them to Tuesday's meeting for the hexie lottery. Four 1-inch hexies = 1 entry to win the lot!
Reposted from @themqg - #TBT Today we're going back to this quilt by @thecharmingneedle of the @mtlmqg. This quilt was designed for a challenge on alternate grid work. I wanted to play with the scale of the blocks as well as their layout to create the illusion of stars falling from the sky. We're falling for this one!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #modernquilt #modernquilting #design #modernquilts #quilts #quilting #quilt #showusyourmqg #themqg #quiltdesign #designinspiration #textiles #moderndesign #modernhome #sewallthethings #artisan #quiltersofinstagram #stars
We will be collecting blocks for the #quiltsforBroncos project at the May meeting, and the guild will take care of the shipping. So please check out the @saskatoonmqg 's post about the block pattern and colors being used and bring your beautiful blocks on May 8th! 💚💛🖤
Following the recent tragedy in Humboldt, SK, some local quilters are in the process of organizing a quilt drive. If you would like to help, please follow @clintonmodern for the details once they are announced. 💔 Reposted from @clintonmodern - Regular fabric broadcasting will resume tomorrow. It is just fabric. Cherish the moments with those you hold dear. How can I help those affected by the tragedy in Humboldt? I have been asking myself this all weekend. Almost immediately quilters were reaching out looking for a way to help. I am waiting for more details that will hopefully arrive today from The Haus of Stitches and the Humboldt Prairie Patchwork Guild for their charity quilt drive. There are so many people impacted including players, their families, billet families, first responders, Broncos staff and members of their communities. Once I hear more I will share them. I plan to donate time, blocks, fabric and other supplies. Please consider making a block or two for the effort when we know more details. Also consider donating directly to the GoFundMe page set up that has surpassed $4Million so far! #prayersforhumboldt
