Let's talk toys! Thought I would share what Florence's favourites are at 8 months old. Will try and share these more regularly as when buying her new toys I love to research what the best ones. We also try and buy toys second hand as much as possible as there's so much in charity shops, car boots and on marketplace. Do share what your babies favourites are in the comments! 1) Tomy Hide n' Squeak eggs. She currently loves just bashing these together but I know they will be around for a while as so much you can do with them 2) @fisherprice Piggy Bank - my Auntie (hi @jlm59) bought us this as her grandchildren have used it lots at different ages and Florence is also a big fan 3) Lamaze toys - her eyes light up when I give her one. Slightly worried as think I've lost two of her faves! 4) Jumperoo - we didn't get her one until about a month ago (£15 on marketplace!) but she will happily bounce in it for a good while. 5) Have to also mention my necklace, my hair, my phone, the TV remote...😂
It feels like so long since Chris and I have had a proper 'home day' together. We usually end up going out, seeing friends or even just popping to my parents house if we have no plans. Today though, we had a lazy morning and then did some garden jobs and I even read my book outside whilst she napped! We also went on a walk to a nearby village and enjoyed a drink before coming home to start the bedtime routine.
Happy Easter from Florence and her own Easter Bunny! We have had a lovely family day, with Chris' parents visiting this morning and then a BBQ at my cousin's house in Leeds. Home now and ready to have a cup of tea and some Easter Egg.
Even though I sometimes I miss our long lazy Saturday mornings, since having a baby we are so much more productive and the early mornings mean we have done so much by midday! Today we spent the morning doing some garden admin before heading to @chowdownuk at Lincoln Castle. It was the perfect setting and day for a food festival. What perfect Easter weekend weather we are having!
Such a glorious Good Friday! This weather just makes me so happy. Most of the day has been spent in my parents garden and then I picked up Chris who is home from San Francisco (whoop!) and we went for a nice walk. Husband being home means that we can finally watch the first episode of the new Game of Thrones! 🤲
8 is my favourite number. I was born on the 8th and Florence was born on the 18/08/18. And now she is 8 months old! This month she has been raring to go and is rolling, sitting, eating everything and discovering all kinds of noises. I say each month that it's my favourite and I'll say it again with this month!
This peg rail looks so cute in my parents house! So glad that the weather is starting to warm up and looks like Easter weekend will be a beautiful one- hooray!
Beautiful pink flowers at @belvoircastle on Monday ♥️ I've just dropped Chris at the station as he's off to San Fransisco with work and have been sat in the car at home for the past 40 minutes with a sleeping Florence. Sometimes it's nice not to risk the nap transfer and to just chill in the car for a bit - you can just scroll Instagram and listen to the radio without feeling the 'million things you should be doing' guilt. Hope everyone has lovely Sunday plans!
