Our precious baby girl is now 5 months. She's discovering new sounds every day (not enjoying the very high pitched scream she discovered this weekend!), is curious (nosy) about everything around her and gets big fits of giggles, usually when she is being entertained by her Dad! It's been my favourite month so far- everything feels more settled and we have much more of a routine. For now at least!
Today we left Florence to have some fun with her Grandparents and Auntie Jess whilst Chris and I went for a little lunch date at Carluccios. It was so nice to leave the changing backpack behind and to use my favourite handbag after months of abandonment! But obviously even nicer was hanging out with Chris and remembering what it's like to be just 'us' again - even if all we did was talk about Florence.
Because it's been TOO long since I've taken a selfie, here's a two for one with my gorgeous sister. Love living so close to her now!
Love this sleepsuit! A lovely gift from @kaldeq. Last night was a tough one and I had a bit of a meltdown at 4am. Sleep had been getting so much better for a week or so but last night there were a lot of wake ups and it's hard when you feel like you're going backwards. It didn't help that I wasn't feeling too well. On a more positive note, she slept in her cot all night and settled there (eventually!) rather than joining me in bed. Today we are going to take it easy and I will join her for a nap!
New Year walks! NYE 2019 was quite different to previous ones...We had a few days with our friends who have a 2 month old which meant lots of baby fun with her and Florence. Our NYE meal was spent tag teaming as we tried to settle the babies but we did play a couple of games and actually made it to midnight! It's been such a lovely few days with lots of good food and company, the perfect way to see in the new year.
Happy New Year! Love this photo - taken by @pelicanpete6 in Camps Bay of Chris and I - with my little Florence bump making an appearance ❤️
These two ❤️ What a year 2018 has been. Meeting our beautiful baby girl was of course the best part but other highlights were moving house, celebrating lots of wonderful weddings and our epic Cape Town holiday. I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year - bets are on as to whether we'll make it to midnight!
Love this pinecone garland! Casually knocked up by my Mum as she watched TV 🤣 Can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. The turkey has been prepped Nigella style and we are now off to our second Christmas get together in Derby. Love all of the friends and family time at this time of year - it's my favourite ❤️
