Did you know that my goal is to go to all the continents before I have kids? Yep, since @bigdanno24 is in school for a couple more years, I think I'll be able to cross this goal off this bucket list by 2020! I don't think I know anyone who's actually accomplished this, have you? • 2018 was so full of adventures and new memories made, from Iceland (pictured), Peru, The Philippines, to several states, all of which I got to visit because of my awesome couples: Oregon, Washington, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, & Indiana. I'm so thankful to have seen so many new to me states and countries this year. It's such a huge blessing that I'm able to have a job I love and serve my clients well, while living life adventuring around the world. I will never take this for granted. • What's the next adventure? Well, I'm taking my mom to Kauai, Hawaii, for her life-long dream trip with my sister @audrr and I'm about to cross my 6th continent off the list in March with my travel buddy @allisondavisweddings! We're headed to New Zealand!! Such a dream come true & I'm extremely excited for 2019 already! • Tell me, what are you excited for in 2019? What's your next adventure? And who here has been to all 7 continents?
It's Pi Day! Wait, just kidding - it's Thanksgiving! Also known as Pie Day around here. We're about to celebrate 3 Thanksgivings with our families - I'm getting full just thinking about it. But there's always pumpkin, apple, pecan, and sometimes cherry at our houses, what's your favorite pie flavor?
One thing I love about my job is that I get to know my couples and their families & often times see them more than once, so it feels much more personal. This image was taken last week of Rebecca & Kegan. Last year, I photographed her twin sister's engagement session, then later, their wedding! I'm so excited I get to see their families again and document another beautiful wedding for this family in 2019.
Iceland | the most beautiful country I've ever seen. More amazingness on the blog!
I had the honor of photographing Melissa & Nick last week for their anniversary portraits! They were so much fun and I was so happy to do this for them! They just celebrated their 12th dating anniversary and had a fun day date in Dallas at Cidercade, my favorite arcade place, and they later went to dinner to have asian noodles. Yum! I met Melissa almost 4 years ago at a small photography workshop in Dallas, which feels like yesterday. I can't believe how time flies! I'm so excited for where her business has taken her. She's so talented and has a huge heart for what she does! After numerous ups and downs this year, I'm happy Mel & Nick are doing so well now. Nick was in a bad car accident in June and recently finished physical therapy. Near the end of the session, I asked Nick to run toward Melissa to give her a giant bear hug for a series of pictures. Nick was so excited he was able to do it and they looked so so excited! After that pose, Melissa said with a sigh of relief, and maybe a little tear, Nick wasn't able to do that before. (Imagine broken bones and not moving much). I loved capturing this moment for them and am so thrilled they're on the uphill climb of this long battle.
Can everyone bring their adorable puppies to their session?! I just LOVE these of Ashton with his sweet parents who got married a year ago! :) Don't forget to schedule a portrait session with me after you gain a new member of your family, no matter if it's a human or a pet! ;)
Have you even seen more pretty vines?! I sure haven't - this wedding was at the perfect time of year for the best colors in the vines. I mean, seriously, deep red, pink, orange, yellow, green! All heart eyes for all the colors!!
I've been a little MIA this last week or two with how much other work I've been doing as we near the end of busy season! It's been crazy to say the least, but I've loved documenting so many weddings and portrait sessions and milestones for many amazing people! One thing I did for myself: I finally posted my Iceland trip itinerary and favorite pictures on my blog from my trip there in Sept! I would love to know what you think of it! :) Link in bio.
Yesterday was my best friend's birthday & today is her wedding day!! Whoohoo! Congratulations, Mary Joy & Derek! I can't wait to see what the future holds for you two! Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day in more ways than one! I loved being a bridesmaid AND your photographer!
The bride incorporated her mother's beaded clutch as her something borrowed and it made the perfect backdrop for the rings!!
