Trees for Troops has donated hundreds of trees to be given away to Fort Hood Soldiers in grades E-1 to E-4 beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fort Hood Stadium. Trees are provided on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Military active duty or dependent identification card required.

Stand Down for the Homeless: Operation Stand Down-Central Texas will host the sixth annual Fall Stand Down and City of Killeen Community Triage for all homeless to get support, food and services Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Killeen Community Center, 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Killeen.

Troopers from 1st Cavalry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team went out to conduct a series of exercises this week created by troopers from the brigade’s 91st Engineer Battalion.
