Garlic harvest has begun on a few varieties this bright and sunny day, giving me a good opportunity to listen to the new Hardcore History all in one go.
Let's hope that these overgrown baby brassicas really love weeks of heat and no rain.
Magic hour on the farm.
To escape the heat in the garden, I get to come inside and clean the kitchen. Hooray! #mygardeniscleanerthanmyhouse
I think green onions might be one of my favourite things this season. So simple and versatile.
We're hosting people at the farm today, which means that we finally got around to building a simple tool stand so that no one comically trips on a rake....happens more often than we'd like to admit.
My brassica greens and my row cover whites.
The lettuces had a beautiful, stained-glass, mountain view today at the farmers' market. #nelsonbc #ecosocietymarkets #farmthekootenays
Scott hoeing under the storm clouds.
J'adore les radis!

Second-coffee Monday morning seeding time.
Thinning some over-seeded beets, a task which I actually love doing.
Lots of spring flavours at yesterday's market. Looking forward to what summer brings. Happy solstice!
Post-market sit and cider. I'm lucky to have a partner that helps me set up before running off to work, and then who also brews fantastic beers and ciders to enjoy after a long, hot market day. Thanks, Scott!
