Equipment choices will either help you or hinder you. When it comes to fighting or training, we need equipment that is easy to use and reliable. All of our attention needs to be on the task at hand. If we have to wonder if our gear is going to perform as it should or we have to stop and fix things, we take away valuable time away from training or making decisions in a fight. These are my choices. @bravocompanyusa EAG carbine with a 13” MCMR mlok rail. I’m not an armorer and I don’t want to have to fix guns when I can be training. Some short guy once told me about BCM and quality. He was not wrong. Surefire scout 600 DF. It simply puts out a lot of light and is reliable. More light allows me to see, process and make decisions. I have broken my share of lights. Now all I run is Surefire. LPVO’s have changed what can be done with a carbine. The ability to have accuracy at distance and still maintain red dot speed means a lot. If I’m not running the Vortex razor 1-6,you will find me with an Aimpoint micro. Geissele SSA is leaps and bounds smoother than than stock GI triggers. The bonus is they are utterly reliable. VTAC 2point adjustable sling makes life easier. There are many good brands of slings out there but VTAC’s and Blue Force Gear is what I run now. Quality matters. #eagtactical #bravocompanyusa #vortexoptics #vtac #surefire
Concealed carry / force on force. Nov 10-11 2018 Force on Force training should validate or tear apart your flat range training. This class will be one day of pistol skills from concealment and one day of force on force scenarios. #eagtactical #forceonforce #trijiconrmr
Working the M&P on the @jedburghtargets great target system for making you control your cadence and move your eyes and gun. #eagtactical #m&p #jedburghtargets
Step 1 in man vs coyote. Other than shoot the ones you see, any suggestions?. #eagtactical #ihatecoyotes #gunfromthepartsbin
Had to store a gun for dad. 2.5” model 19. Straight up class. Holster is a Rogers from the 70’s-early 80’s?? It’s the first non leather holster I ever saw. Apparently he figured out a few things about making holsters.
FN 509 Tactical. Here are my impressions based off of one day. Feels very good in the hand. Trigger is heavier than I thought it would be but very clean. The gun size struck me as Glock 19Xish. It shoots well suppressed and without the can. Accuracy was tested at 25 and 50yds with no complaints. We were banging 6”plates at 50 without too much difficulty. Overall, I think FN did a good job on this.
Working the bianchi cup drill on the new @redstitchtargets plate rack. If you want to see a advantage to a RDS pistol, this drill shows it. I still managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with a low shot . #eagtactical #platerack #rmr # almostperfect
Force on force training is the best way to validate firearm skills. It allows you to put things in context and understand what works against moving targets that shoot back. This is more of a problem solving class than pure shooting. Class size will be limited to 12 students. In the future we will be adding force on force modules to carbine and pistol courses. #eagtactical
Headed out today to fish and realized my fighting belt strap had broken. VTAC sling to the rescue. I actually like it better than the stupid Velcro strap that came with it. #vtac #haveslingwilltravel #eagtactical
