LONG POST WARNING, but hopefully worth a read. Raise your hand if social media overwhelms you...if I had a million and one hands I would raise every single one of them 🙋🏼🙋🏼🙋🏼 And by overwhelmed, I mean - you can't keep up...feeling like your life isn’t keeping up with the achievements or glamour of others. Does it leave you feeling unworthy, not good enough, envious, tired, like you can’t keep up. This has been the cry of my heart recently, and what have I done? Nothing. What do I need to do? Ask God to answer that cry. Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” All this being said, here is a photo of my BRAND NEW niece Aria, who is precious as ever. My sweet nieces and nephew constantly remind me that life is fun and we need to be present. Stop caring about what everyone else is doing and just BE. PRESENT.
Oh my heart - this day was absolute perfection!! From my first chat with sweet Brittany, I knew her and Hector's wedding day would be one to remember, and it absolutely was! Dear friends and family from all around the world traveled to celebrate these two, and that in itself, is just one of many reasons their day was so incredibly unique! I cannot wait to share more images from their wedding day, stay tuned friends! Congratulations Hector and Brittany!!!
IT'S THANKFUL THURSDAY! Today and over the next few Thursdays, I am going to share something I am thankful for that God has lovingly provided for me! Why? Because I think we all need to realize that you can't just be annually thankful in November 😆 I hope you’ll join me…share below what you’re thankful for today. We need to give Him thanks every moment of every day! Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Today’s embrace: something simple. As simple as, a freshly poured cup of coffee on a hot summer day in the midwest. What does a fresh cup of coffee mean to me? It means morning conversation on the couch with my husband. Over jo, we reflect on the days ahead and what they have in store for us; moreover, what God has provided for us!!! And that, my friends is simple, but SO incredibly meaningful. So, let's hear it - what are you thankful for? P.S. Thank you to the gorgeous @dianelovespink for my AMAZING Magnolia mug!!! ❤️
It's Monday, and I've already cried three times trying to put together frames from this day on the blog! (visit link in bio) As I scroll through the images of Austin and Tori's incredibly gorgeous day I am, once again, reminded of what simple, beautiful love looks like! Together, these two are unstoppable and their future together as husband and wife is full of complete blessings and joy, I just know it! Oh, and side note - Austin's face when he saw Tori for the first time gets me every time!! Congratulations, Austin + Tori!!!
Oh my heart - THAT SWEET FACE! Dustin always shoots down my idea of getting a puppy; therefore, I just live vicariously through my clients and their insanely adorably fur babies! 😍
A note from me, the shoe lover: Yesterday, I wore these super cute flats for an hour then had to take them off - I had 3 things going against me: 1. They're new so my feet decided to host a blister party. 2. My feet were still swollen from photographing a wedding on Sunday. 3. It's so INSANELY hot outside that I couldn't even handle the littlest bit of my feet being enclosed and squished together 😆 They're cute but I just couldn't do it, maybe another time!
To say narrowing down ONE sneak peek for Austin and Tori was difficult, would be a complete understatement!!! I'm teary-eyed sharing this photo because my heart is so full for my long time friend Tori, as she now calls Austin, the man of her dreams - husband! From the handwritten wedding vows, to the gathering of family and friends from near and far, their day was nothing short of completely special! Congratulations Austin and Tori!!!
WE BUILT THIS!!! Okay, lets be real - Dustin built this, and I caught the sander on fire BUT I helped hold things and stained it which is a job in itself. 😜 You guys, there are AMAZING resources out there to help you create the perfect features in you home! (Visit the blog link in my profile to see more photos and where you can find the @anawhitediy plans) 3 things I love about this table: 1. It only cost us about $100 to make! 2. I’ve finally created the perfect stain combination to get the exact color I was looking for! It took me about 3 days and a million test boards - but it was worth it! 3. This is the table where Dustin and I will make memories with our family - and WE MADE IT! And that, is a memory in itself!
