Another California Coastal Cleanup in the books! What an awesome celebration with our community, collecting trash along Bolsa Chica (State Beach) Jetty! Shout out to our Sponsors at @volcom and @hausofshow, who opened their ocean hearts and minds, hosting a vinyasa yoga flow!
#Repost @richardthenomad ・・・ This is Isabel. He is a Huntington Beach employee who cleans up the sidewalks and sweeps up trash around Main Street five days a week. We, @hsbsurfrider, are thankful for him not only for keeping trash off our beaches/ocean but also because he helps us with our Butts Out campaign. If you see him, say Hi and tell him Thank You.
For rivalry week, we had football players & cheerleaders from Marina & Huntington Beach HS do an hour long beach cleanup sponsored by @chickfilabeachblvd, where 66 volunteers collected 57.5 lbs of trash! Winner to be announced at their upcoming pep rally 🏈💨

#Repost @surfriderla ・・・ BREAKING! Yesterday the House of Representatives passed legislation to permanently ban offshore drilling in large portions of U.S. waters! Now, the Senate also needs to pass the measures for the bills to become law. ~ In response to today's news, the Surfrider Foundation’s CEO, Dr. Chad Nelsen, issued the following statement: “Surfrider Foundation applauds the House of Representatives for listening to the American people and taking bipartisan action to protect U.S. coastlines from the damaging practice of offshore drilling. New drilling would pollute the ocean and put our nation’s coastal communities and economies at unnecessary risk. Today’s outcome is a major testament to the efforts of coastal advocates, elected officials, businesses, communities, and the recreation industry, which have fought tirelessly to defend our nation's coasts from new offshore drilling.” Thank you @repjoecunninghamsc @repfrancisrooney #drillingiskilling #protectourcoast
