New(ish) home for some of my plant babies, and one of my grandma’s wood carvings. Makes me happy to look at these brightening up our living room. #plantsofinstagram #plantbabies #home
This, my friends, is @smittenkitchen’s rhubarb upside-down spice cake. Tonight’s dessert. 😍🤤 Tragically off-center on the serving platter.
This is the official petition to make recipe card collection and trading a thing again. ••• The first three are cards I’ve inherited (love the swanky personalized one! #goals), and the second two are a couple designs I use in my own kitchen. There is nothing I love more than a handwritten recipe card and I treasure all of the ones I’ve been given. Can we please make this a thing again? So our grandchildren aren’t left with Pinterest boards to rifle through instead?
•April reading wrap up! 📚• It was a good month of reading, especially because April included my favorite book so far this year (more to come on that). • Me Before You was a light, quick read that I enjoyed more than I thought I would (4/5). • Turtles All the Way Down was a cute YA read, and I think one that would be enjoyed by any fiction-loving teenager (3/5). • I’ve read the paper book version of Yes Please, by one of my favorite humans @amypoehlersmartgirls in the past, but Jake and I listened to the audiobook version and I absolutely loved experiencing it again this way. (4/5) • I also listened to Small Fry as an audiobook and was moderately entertained, and learned what a nut Steve Jobs was in the process. (3/5) • And then we come to the best book I’ve read all year, Where the Crawdads Sing by @authordeliaowens. It’s been stuck at the top of any bestselling books list for weeks at this point and I can totally see why. The writing is beautiful, the characters are engaging, and the mystery mixed in is intriguing. One I know I’ll come back to again in the future. (5/5) • Have you read any of these books? And if so, let me know your thoughts! —————— #bookstagram #whatiread #reading #books #aprilreads #bookworm #alwaysreading #bookstagrammer #bookclubofinstagram #instabookclub
Feeling cute, might find some Easter eggs, binge on candy, and pass out later idk.
•Recent empties• Loved the @itcosmetics Bye Bye Makeup balm. Forget micellar water, face wipes, whatever - balms are my go-to for getting a day’s worth of makeup off my face. • Glossier’s Solution toner was just OK. A bit overhyped. I prefer @drdennisgross Alpha Beta Peels for chemical exfoliants. • The @smashboxcosmetics Primerizer was perfect for winter, giving my skin a boost of hydration and a little extra staying power for makeup. • The @maybelline Master Precise All Day eyeliner is a new fave of mine. One of the best drugstore liners I’ve ever tried. If you like the Stila eyeliner pen, give this a shot! • Lastly, the Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara was 👌🏻. Volumizing and buildable. • Tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
