Wishing Keira and Phil all the best on their first anniversary today! Their wedding is up on the blog. 💕
#blackouttuesday Black Lives Matter
My heart has felt so heavy lately and I just haven’t had it in me to post anything wedding related on here because I don’t want to take away from what’s going on in the world right now. It’s important. It’s a massive human rights issue. It matters. It’s more important than ever to use your voice and stand up against racism, police brutality, and systemic oppression. Do your research, learn as much as you can about the issues, understand what white privilege is. Donate if you’re able to. Use your voice and your platform to bring awareness. Support those around you and encourage them to do the same because #blacklivesmatter
One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting the opportunity to know so many amazing love stories and I know how important it is to be able to have something to look back on. Case and point, my own wedding photos captured by @jfhanniganphoto that I’ve been reminiscing through this morning. Today marks seven years that @alextheframer and I have been married. We’ve been together for over fifteen years now, but it honestly feels like I’ve known him forever.
I've been battling with my slow internet connection all day to upload this blog, but it's a special one! Katie and Cody celebrate their first anniversary today! Wishing them both all the best on this important milestone and sharing a few favourites from their big day last year. Link is in bio💜
This was May last year: warm and full of gorgeous couples that I got to photograph like Mel and Cliff who are on the blog today! Go check it out and ignore the snowflakes coming down outside. ☀️ link in bio!
Sending all my best to Sara & Victor today as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary! Sharing a glimpse into their big day over on the blog today (link in bio), remembering all the wonderful moments they shared with their loved ones exactly one year ago today. Happy Anniversary! 🥂
Whew! After a few months of working on changing up my website and branding, I’ve finally made something I love! As I come up on my fifth anniversary of being a photographer, I’ve been reflecting on a lot of things—where I started, how my style and business have evolved and all the amazing people I’ve met along the way. The extra time in self-isolation has also given me more time to think deeper about the colours, fonts and overall appearance I want to carry into this new set of changes. Consistency is important to me, so I’ve left the cooler tones of purple for a warmer, mauvey one that better compliments my photography style. I want to convey romantic, warm, whimsical feelings. I’ve also updated my website with newer images, which was also a hard thing to do considering how many beautiful couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! I would love if you guys could take a cruise through and let me know what you think of the new stuff. (The link to my website is in my bio.) More to come, like pretty client guides and things to make the process of finding and hiring a photographer easier for you. Oh, and blogs! Lots of blogs to come from last year. Hope you are all doing well and can’t wait to hear your feedback!
