It feels a little surreal to think a week ago today we still didn't have an apartment. We still didn't have a home. Thankfully that chapter in our cross country move is behind us and we are excited to dance our way right into the weekend. I think it's easy to take these kinds of things for granted. To forget how meaningful a home truly is. How precious a thing it is to have built something with so much intentionality that brings comfort and new energy. I'm sure you can imagine how grateful we are to have unpacked our bags without any intention of packing them up again for a good long while. If you need me this weekend I'll be making scrambled eggs in the morning, editing my heart out, and doing a little bit of furniture shopping 😍 best weekend ever and it's about to go down 😂
Guys the week is FLYING by but it has been oh so good. We moved into our new home this past weekend and even though it's still mostly empty, it's ours and that means the world for us to have a home again. It's been so fun cozied in! ✔️ got @jasminerosethehouseplant settled in ✔️made entirely too much lasagna in our new kitchen ✔️ bought a cinnamon scented candle to make our apartment feel a bit cozier for fall Such a fun few days still ahead as I work on editing my last wedding of the season, do a little shopping to furnish the new digs, and try my hand at making some homemade chocolate chip muffins
Well folks, we got back from New Zealand a few days ago and today marks a huge step for us in settling down here in Seattle. We found an apartment that we've absolutely fallen in love with and pick up the keys to our new home in a few hours! Keep an eye on my IG stories later today because I can't wait to show you all our new flat!
Dying over these morning after session shots with @han_howard and @timgrunshaw 😍 because when you're getting married in the New Zealand alps why not extend portrait time! Love these two for doing a 6am wake up with us to do some early morning exploring with us!
Caleb and I are saying see ya next time to New Zealand today as we pack to head home to Seattle. I'm already missing this beautiful place and we haven't even left yet. My heart is so full from our time here and I won't be forgetting this lovely place anytime soon. Heading home to Seattle means we get start cozying down for fall, apartment hunting, and finding the best taco places in Seattle. If you have any recommendations on that last one make sure to DM me!
