behind every holiday photo is a mom threatening to cancel all joy and happiness until the end of time if everyone doesn't sit still and smile for two freaking seconds. This sentiment is exactly why I love investing in family portraits. We get our family's portraits every two years, but I dread the Christmas card photo on the off year. I have everything I need to make beautiful photographs, but taking pictures of my own family is a mess that results in insanity. It's not about the camera. It's not about the settings. Or the great background. Or the outfit. It's about the professional behind the camera, carefully directing the chaos into something beautiful, calming frustrations, and coaxing cooperation from busy children and frazzled parents. I'm thinking, if I can hire out other tasks I dread, like mowing the lawn, I can find a way to hire out this job next year. In the meantime, you'll be getting this in your mail box. 😂
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! I have so much to be grateful for, but it's too easy to forget. Today, I'll be reminding myself of all the wonderful reasons I have to be thankful for. What are you thankful for today?
