Halfway through the month and I I’ve shot twelve sessions so far with twenty one to go! But look at these sweet faces? How could I not love what I do? 😍
We’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world together but when we stop and think about our favorite trip, Tulum is always at the top of our list. Honario’s tacos, the warm water, coqui coqui, renting a car and driving all over the Yucatán together and so many other memories made it easy for us to decide which spot on the map we would choose to create our @mapiful print. I love the simplicity of these prints and I know that every time I peak at this corner of our room I’ll think about the memories we made in Tulum. Head over to mapiful.com and create your favorite place anywhere in the world! #mapiful
Nine sessions today can only mean one thing...it’s mini session day! I’m so excited to see some of my favorite families and meet new ones too! Also, I had two very vivid dreams last night. First, that all of my camera gear was stolen so I didn’t have anything to shoot mini’s with today and second, that I woke up too late and missed four of them. Not to worry though, my camera gear is safe and I’m having coffee now. Today’s going to be a good one!!
So, some may not know this about me but when I’m not shooting weddings or families I love shooting interiors. And lucky for me my super talented friend @veronicavalencia asked me to come photograph this amazing farmhouse she renovated and today @jillian.harris is featuring it on her blog. Be sure to click on the link in her bio to go see it!
One thing I love (and miss) about Orange County/LA is all of the open space preserves and wilderness parks. There are so many easily accessible, gorgeous spots. The Central Valley is beautiful BUT it’s mostly all private owned. So I guess I just need to cozy up to some ranchers soon.
Can I get an amen!? This week is my calm before a shit storm of sessions and fall weddings. I don’t go out, I hardly spend time with my husband and I eat really weird things at my desk because I have so much editing to do that I can’t walk away. If you know a photographer, give them a hug. A friend once put it “October (and November and some of December) is to photographers what April is to accountants.” I promise that your galleries, emails and albums are going out as quickly as possible! And a really, really big thank you for making this dream job a reality for me. Some months are hard but I truly love what I do!
