This morning I woke up to the most insane news that one of my best friends from elementary school and one of my best friends from high school (who have never met or spoken) got together and started a GoFundMe to raise some money for some of my stolen gear (because as it turns out, Insurance decided after 6 weeks of leading me on, that they're not going to cover me). I have cried SEVERAL times today because of the overwhelming support and generosity of the people I'm surrounded by. I feel super weird asking friends and family for money (especially if they're not getting photos in return!), but so many people have personally messaged me asking for the link, so I'm TEMPORARILY putting the gofundmelink in my profile. ⠀ ⠀ Here's a picture of the invitation suite and some flowers from one of (if not THE) best weddings I've ever been a part of. It's times like these that make the last month of chaos and bad luck worth it several times over. ⠀ ⠀ Friends, I really appreciate all of you.
YOU GUYS. THIS WEDDING WAS EVERYTHING. I've never cried like I did here. Or squealed as much (I tend to make weird noises when I photograph). I love Emily and Bryan so much.... and it was an absolute blessing for me to do both photography and the floral design. ⠀ I am so so so thankful, happy, and sore :P⠀
Okay, this is going to be a real long post. This whole last month has been insane. It started off with getting robbed. All of my camera equipment was taken from my inside home while we slept. I shot 5 weddings as a photographer (lots of renting and borrowing equipment). My main hard drive crashed and all of my personal photos from the last year might be lost. I did 3 weddings as a florist. 1 trip to Palm Springs for a shoot. 2 engagement sessions. 2 trips to LA, one of which was for a business workshop, which I am only just NOW having time to implement. ⠀ At the end of the workshop, they held a cocktail party. I couldn't really handle being there because all I could think about was how I could change my business, how I could start RIGHT NOW serving my clients better. And because I was physically and emotionally exhausted (and the month wasn't even half way over). I gotta be real with you. I'm not outgoing or very social. I need a LOT of sleep and alone time. I need space away from my business every once in a while to maintain my sanity. But I learned some reaaaal game changing shit from the workshop. And even though most of the time I don't feel like I have a handle on anything, I feel real good about the future. And I'm really grateful to this industry and community I've made myself apart of. ⠀ ⠀ design @chicwedding ⠀ florals @lauryllane ⠀ model @taylorsaxelby ⠀ accessories @styledbytc ⠀ rentals @sigpartyrentals⠀ napkins @modmixstudio ⠀ location @musestudiocity ⠀ Sponsored by @lensrentals ⠀ workshop @hustleandflow_workshop by @thehonsphoto

Pretty much wish I had a candle-lit, beautifully styled dinner EVERY NIGHT. Although, most nights eat mac and cheese or burritos. So, that probably wouldn't fare too well. ⠀
tonight's engagement session was !!!!!!⠀
I don't always get to photograph the bouquets I make, but when I do, I sure love it when the colors flow, and a breeze makes the ribbons all wooshy
