I’ve always been the type to send thank you cards. I’m addicted to letter press and anything hand designed. But today I want to Insta-thank @ashleyannsims , and cyber-shout it from the mountaintops for all of you to hear! Friends, this feisty little redhead has been on our DCCP Top Model Team for two years, and she has been a joy to work with. She is always up to shoot my crazy ideas, and never complains when things get hectic. Thank you Ashley! We are better for having known you!
There are some once-in-a-lifetime views that continue to bring me happiness. Things like the birth of my daughter, and the big pink roses in my Grandmother's front yard come right to mind. But there are certain views I’m lucky enough to see nearly every day of my life. The sight of a young girl safe in the arms of the man she will marry can always make me sigh. I not only get to see it, but capture it for all time for them to see as well. What do you see everyday that brings you happiness?
I absolutely love capturing all of the little details that our brides and grooms put into their wedding day. Every color, flower, and ribbon was hand selected to represent the love they share, and I can just imagine the hours that went into creating each piece. Our relationships are interwoven the exact same way, chosen carefully and combined into something beautiful in the end. Today, show some love for the perfect person that you put your all into.
For those who may not know, I’m wedding and portrait photographer and have been happily working in this business for a decade. There are probably a million awesome things about what I do, but the single best is seeing the looks on the faces of my amazing clients during their reveal. In those moments I know I am just where God needs me. Thank you for being such a huge part of the reason I get to be exactly who I am.
Productivity...how do you find it?! I’m at my personal best when the rest of the world is fast asleep. Inspiration tends to hit me between 11pm and 3 in the morning, no matter how much I’d love for it to keep a more reasonable schedule. So what’s it for you? Are you A. an early bird B. a night owl C. whatever the bird is that thrives in the afternoons? Share your answer in the comments below!
