It was a magical, glittery sort of night, it seems. Thanks for showing up, buds.

These five sweet boys (and Brett Shady, not pictured) are playing a big fun show in San Francisco on Saturday night. If you live within a two hour drive of San Francisco, you should attend that show and bring a thousand friends. If you don't, you should instead spend your Saturday night at the movies. Knives Out is great, as is Jojo Rabbit, and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is very sweet and timely. I'm waiting to see Parasite with a friend, but I heard it's incredible. Movies are great, man. Anyway, come to our show on Saturday. We're playing Golden Shoulders songs. #celluloidheroes

Hey, Adam from Golden Shoulders was interviewed by Scott from the Music Chat podcast, and you can listen to it right now, wherever you listen to podcasts! They discuss the new album, the Nevada City music scene, and the controversy regarding if Jimi Hendrix was better than Adam at music. @themusicchat (

Two weeks from tonight, Nevada City comes to San Francisco in a big way. We'll see you there, unless your priorities are catastrophically out of order. #dontmissthisshow #please #wetryourbest

I guess we should talk about Music Countrymen. It's very, very important. Back in 2013, Adam, Brett, Jonathan, and Jason recorded five songs at home to put on a download card, to be sold on the tour that year. New songs, never-before-heard old songs, or new arrangements of familiar songs... that was the idea. We called it Music Friends, and it was a fun souvenir for folks who came to shows that year. Three years later, in 2016, Adam and Dave recorded the follow-up, Music Romans. Five songs, recorded at home, same idea. Another delightful treat for the buddies who came out to support us at the shows. Recordings unavailable anywhere else. Three years later, this year, we completed the trilogy with Music Countrymen. Five new homemade recordings, including a country song I wrote about Jay-Z, the fast version of Honey, Power, Light, and a lullaby. Adam, Jonathan, and David joined by Barry on pedal steel. Lots of folks who came to the September shows got theirs. If you didn't, we're including one free with every order we ship out. Get yourself a t-shirt or the new vinyl LP and you'll get these recordings too.
