The kiddos are sitting outside watching the airplanes practice for the airshow this weekend. To my boys (and husband) this airshow is almost as exciting as Christmas; true story. It's been on our calendar since last year's airshow. . Last year my oldest was Poe from Star Wars search x-wing costume on blog to see more pics.
It's raining and starting to feel like fall weather, which means sweaters and pumpkins. I think I'm ready to break out all my colorful painted pumpkins. Do you also like non traditional colors for fall decor?
I got two French Louis chairs at a Goodwill outlet (yes, Goodwill has Outlets and it's not for the fate of heart or germaphobes) and I love them but the white fabric is starting to get really gross. I'm nervous about reupholstering them myself; it's he details if the arm rests and piping that makes me nervous. Anyone else reupholstered chairs like these?
I can't believe we're already in the 2nd week of September!! After last winter, I'm not quite ready for summer to be over. I do love rain, but we had a little too much last winter and I fear for that again. But we do need a little rain to stop all these fires, so I'm really torn right now 😩. . . This is our family mottto...I love the idea of constantly bettering myself and making myself the best I can be. It's definitely not an easy thing, but I know that if I mess up there is always yet another day to keep trying. It sometimes takes a long time to become the person we want to be, but we should keep at it no matter who we are. #sunshinesunday #sharegoodness #ldsquotes #bestday #hisday #inspirationalquotes #abrahamlincoln #flashesofdelight #myunicornlife
It's finally Friday and we saw a bit of blue sky yesterday for the first time since the fire that started in the Columbia River Gorge Las Saturday...it's been so sad seeing pictures of such a beautiful area burning. And the ash! Seriously, people don't be stupid! especially with fireworks.
School finally started for us in #pdx which is a bitter/sweet thing for me. I love having my oldest around, and am going to miss him a ton, but it's always nice to give some extra time to my other littles. Also I love hearing my 2 year old and 4 year old playing together; it doesn't happen as much when my 6 year old is around. But seriously, why is school such a long day!? . ⚡P.s. you can find a tutorial for these Harry Potter Pencil wand on the blog ⚡
I was hoping to be done with this project before the school year started....but I am half way there 🙌 I think my little ones are going to love this memory game when it's finally finished. Memory is my 4 year olds favorite game and now his younger sister can play (well almost 😂). So hopefully they can have fun playing this letter version too, that's if I finish soon🤣.
