I really love this season of Thanksgiving and think it's perfect how it happens before Christmas. I think it helps us slow down a little and prepare for the beauty of Christmas. Today I'm thankful for my family; I'm thankful that my kids are so curious and always wanting to learn new things and love creating. They are my little muses and I love seeing them paint and being crafty in their own way. . . . I'm finally sharing my post about my string art adventures from my relief society activity. So I'm trying something different by adding some @wallsneedlove removable wall paper on the front of these cabinet drawers. I like the idea of it not being a permanent thing. I think we're going to go with the bottom design. Have you ever used removable wall paper? It's a new thing for me since wall paper still has a feeling of days gone by and a sense of forever permanence. I mean it is the worst to remove!!! But this stuff is like contact paper and so much easier to apply. So we'll see how it goes.
I was looking all over the house today for this gather sign and could not find it. Then I realized that I never got it out because it's probably in the Christmas decorations 🤦;it doubles as Christmas decor because it says silent night on the back. . . Well, either way, I really love this time over year of getting together with my family and really enjoying each other. I'm so grateful for my family and that I can live close to some of them. Now if the rest could just move closer!! . . (Search gather to find this tutorial on the blog) #handmadewithjoann #craftychick #crafttherapy #michaelsmaker #crafternoon #contactpaper
Today was day 4 of sickness and day 5 if potty training my little girl. Guess who won? She did. Who ever told me girls were easier to train 😵. She is back in diapers forever!! My two boys were so much easier and gave in on day 2. Little Miss knew what was up and would hold it for hours and fight us going in the toilet. She even told me she wanted her diaper back (she did say please) But I'm so thankful today amongst all of the potty training failure and everyone being sick, my husband worked from home half the day. Seriously, so grateful for him. #pottytraining #pottytrainingfail
I love the holidays but I dislike putting up decorations for such a short time period, so I love my pumpkins because they can stay up from September until Thanksgiving. That's a good amount of time for my lazy side. But really, I love my dollar store painted pumpkins.
Today, this little guy received his baby blessing in church. I felt so overwhelmed with gratitude for my little family and my other family members that came to be with us on such a special Sunday. This is such a busy and crazy time in my life, but it was so nice to sit there and feel love and happiness that I've been blessed with. . I love this quote by L. Tom Perry Family is the center of life, it's the key to eternal happiness. I truly believe this and know that my little family make me happier and a better person. #sunshinesundaysisterswhat #swhavalah #sharegoodness #hisday
Tonight is the first of our Halloween/dressing up festivities. My kids are so excited, but I'm already ready for some relaxing nights at home #introvertproblems 😜 . My 4 year old is going to be a dragon and our baby boy is going to be a 🌮...you know like in #dragonslovetacos one of our favorite books. But, I still haven't made the taco costume, so we'll see how that one turns out... #penguinkidscostumecontest2017
My 6 year old was really into sharks 🦈when he was 3 so I made him a shark sweatshirt for Halloween that year which also wore everyday after. When he grew out of that shark sweatshirt he asked for me to make him another one. I love it when I make something for them and they love it hard. Also, how do they grow so fast?!?! can we just pause or rewind for a minute 😢. . Search shark sweatshirt on blog for full tutorial. It was so easy to make; I used an old gray sweatshirt to make it easy.
