For this week’s #TrusteeThursdays we have Grayson Levitt! Grayson is from Deerfield Beach, Florida and triple majors in History, Political Science, and International Affairs. Grayson states, “Every college has a way to challenge you, but Florida State has the right combinations of people, places, and institutions to make sure you remain unconquered.” To Grayson, the Student Foundation is the best way for students to give back to their university, but also the best way for Students to help themselves. A better university creates a better candidate. Grayson, thank you for all the time and effort you commit to bettering Florida State University!
Thank you to everyone who attended the first ever All DSO Mixer last night. This event presented the opportunity for the DSO’s student boards to network with some of Florida State's most impactful student leaders with hopes of future collaboration towards the same goal: enriching the Seminole experience. This week for #TrusteeThursdays we have Kevin DiMatteo! Kevin is from Boynton Beach, FL. Kevin has a B.S. in Political Science and is a current Masters in Public Administration Candidate. FSU has always been the heart of tradition and unity. Throughout his time here, his initial assumption of the amazing culture was proven time and time again. Kevin says, “Looking back on my undergraduate experience, I cannot picture any other place that would have exposed me to the opportunities I found here.” The Student Foundation embodies the philanthropic work within the current student body. To Kevin, the most remarkable aspect of Student Foundation is the work ethic of every individual that is impressively coupled by the unique culture each trustee brings to the table. His inspiration for pursuing development work within Student Foundation comes directly from his mentors within the school’s administration and other staff members of the FSU Foundation. To that, Kevin, we thank you for all of your great work!
There are only 19 days until the Second Annual Student Foundation 5k Relay race! Register your team and make a donation on our spark page today! http://spark.fsu.edu/project/333
Our next feature for #TrusteeThursdays is Carlton Disalvio! Carlton is from Tallahassee, Florida and double majors in Political Science and Economics. Being a fourth generation Seminole, Carlton has grown up bleeding garnet and gold. The lessons he has learned from his grandfather about philanthropy, charity, and community are a result of his time at FSU. Carlton plans to pass on these values to further generations of Seminoles upon graduating from this amazing University. Carlton agrees that the Student Foundation is imperative to the success of our University as it directly affects the future of our degrees as alumni as well as individual student stewardship for giving and philanthropy at FSU. Instilling a sense a philanthropy is something his grandfather did for him, and he is wholeheartedly grateful to have the opportunity to instill it into other Seminoles while he attends FSU.
