For our first trustee of fall 2018 we have Thomas Brooks! Thomas is from Tallahassee, FL and majors in entrepreneurship. Thomas chose Florida State because both of his parents were seminole graduates and it was a campus where he felt he could be more than he’d ever imagined. He felt Florida State was the perfect stepping stone to get him ready for the rest of his life. To Thomas, the Student Foundation is a group of students who more than anything, want the best for their fellow Seminoles. “We don’t need the credit, we don’t need the glory. All that matters to us is seeing more students smiling as they walk across the stage proud that they graduated from a top university ready to conquer the world that awaits” Thank you for your service Thomas!
Florida State University has jumped to No. 26 among national public universities in the U.S. News & World Report rankings after moving up five places for the second consecutive year. It’s no surprise that people are starting to recognize the talent that is produced within the Florida State community. This ranking is a reflection of the prominence of Florida State's academics and school pride that Seminoles experience every day.
Stop by our table at the 2018 Involvement Fair in Tully to meet @saphicher and learn more about Student Foundation! We are here until 8pm!
Kicking off the year with @fsu_saa at their Traditions BBQ. It’s great spreading our mission to new and returning students! #fsusf
Thank you to the @fsussb for inviting some of our trustees to attend the 2018 Golden Gala. It was great hearing @realcoachtaggart speak tonight. #DoSomething
Congratulations to our 2018-2019 Student Foundation Board of Trustees!
From midnight until 2pm join the Student Foundation and countless others as we donate to the Home Stretch Grants Project during the “Wait 'Til The Midnight Hour” project sponsored by Julie Dunn and Robert Eichenberg. Imagine approaching your last semester and finding out you’re out of funding. By supporting the microgrant initiative you are investing in FSU seniors with financial barriers that may prevent them from reaching their graduation goals.
It’s that time again Seminoles! The @fsugreatgive has begun! President Thrasher gave his donation, now is time for you to give yours. Please consider donating to the many projects this year! Donate here! http://greatgive.fsu.edu from 9 a.m., March 22 through 9 p.m., March 23.
For this week’s #TrusteeThursdays we have Grayson Levitt! Grayson is from Deerfield Beach, Florida and triple majors in History, Political Science, and International Affairs. Grayson states, “Every college has a way to challenge you, but Florida State has the right combinations of people, places, and institutions to make sure you remain unconquered.” To Grayson, the Student Foundation is the best way for students to give back to their university, but also the best way for Students to help themselves. A better university creates a better candidate. Grayson, thank you for all the time and effort you commit to bettering Florida State University!
