I may have a 📚 problem. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But really I don't think so. I love books! Who else reads multiple books at a time? (And just being real, this isn't even HALF of the books I'm currently working on 😅) Getting lost in the pages of some of these books will be what I am doing this Labor Day weekend – it's one of my favorite ways to relax. Of course, work will be happening as well, #EntrepreneurLife ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What books are you reading right now?
If you've listened to @thecreativelegacypodcast or read the words of my mission statement you're familiar with me saying the word adventure a lot. I LOVE adventure. I'd be lying if I didn't say I am already itching for my next big trip. But what is also the truth is that to me, adventure is not only the big grand explorations and adrenaline rushes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The simple every new experiences: taking a walk and seeing what you stumble upon, trying new foods, visiting a place close to home you've never been, taking a different route to your destination, getting lost in the world of a book, learning a new hobby...all little adventures I love just as much. They are simple acts that ignite fun memories, laughter and a sense of excitement in the new possibilities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What little adventure are you taking today?
I loved yesterday! I started my morning in the power of community @kavarnacoffeehouse with some of the @tuesdaystogethergreenbay ladies for the first of what will be monthly coffee dates. I loved the laid back conversation and really hearing these ladies. • In the afternoon I met at @dailybuzzgb with my sweet friend @mirandajeanknudson and we were able to empower each other with our goals. • The evening included heading to the farmer's market and happening upon a few moments to hug and connect with my friends @klemstudiosphotography and @nowicki.jennifer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Community, connection and relationships are a beautiful thing. I've always believed that and found joy in connecting with and loving the people in my life. But to be honest, coming back from spending every day for four months and powerfully getting to know 43 amazing souls made me realize I had not been completely opening myself and and being vulnerable with others. Whether that was through excuses of time or fear of judgement or both, today I'm appreciating my relationships and community SO much more and giving a lot of effort into cultivating the same feeling of community I had with my travel family with others in my life and here back home. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You being here, and reading this, I want you to know I am so very grateful for you. Thanks for having an impact on my life and allowing me the opportunity to hear and love you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Who in your tribe are you grateful for? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷: @leahmanncreative
My friends @kaelagedda and @lisaliimatta of @riseleadershipcircle will be hosting their WE Rise Retreat in Chicago, IL this October and I will be attending! I can't wait. I had a fantastic experience at their retreat in May. It was truly such an uplifting and empowering experience! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, when Kaela reached out to me asking if I’d be willing to design an on brand logo specific to WE Rise I was more than willing to show up and create more amazing things with these ladies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm sharing more about WE Rise, how you can join and the logo design on my blog at sarahschraderdesign.com/blog (link also in my bio)
Feeling overwhelmed with too many decisions to make or the never ending to-dos can make it hard to take a step forward in any direction at all. That's a stumbling block I've faced many times, even to the point of burnout. It's a part of what has kept me playing small. One thing I've learned in those moments is to pause and take a simple deep breath. It gives a moment to yourself, clears the thoughts and helps you to reground and find focus or clarity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you are making a decision in your business, another source of grounding is to look back at your 'why', or the driving force behind what gets you up out of bed and doing the thing you do every day. Your why is what will lead you to your mission and your vision, and these three things together will ultimately help you define your brand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I (awkwardly 😅) talked through this on my Facebook page today where I also announced I'm giveaway away a mini brand consultation! Why? Because I know branding is A LOT to deal with. Whether creating it or maintaining consistency, it can be overwhelming at times hard knowing which direction to take. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Head to sarahschraderdesign.com/giveaway to learn more and for your chance to be the winner of the mini brand consultation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ P.s. this map from the District Six Museum in Cape Town, South Africa has a powerful story behind it at and the effects apartheid (discrimination) still have in its community. I would highly recommend visiting and/or reading about it.
When I stepped away from website design a few years ago the lie I was telling myself was that I personally had to know how to both design AND code. Basically, do it all. As a result, what was suddenly missing was the ability to help you, my client speak your brand boldly and consistently in every aspect of your marketing. Your website is a large showcase of where your brand messaging and brand identity meet, and very much an extension of your overall brand experience. In repositioning myself as a brand expert, I'm excited to be officially announcing here the re-introduction of websites as a service. It's interesting that I never completely left the website design world, feeling the desire to help the occasional client with a website. So re-introducing this services feels in alignment with both my mission, what is best for serving you, my clients, and also myself. To celebrate this fact, and the fact that I am back in Green Bay (for now 😉) I am offering my top level package at my basic package rate to four people between now and Wednesday! This includes so much more than a basic brand and website design and is $1k in savings! Details at sarahschraderdesign.com/blog. If this intrigues you send me a message or leave a comment. If you know someone who'd benefit, tag them to let them know!
