The Martin's have a strong tribe and are loved by SO many! It brings me joy to reminisce on how much love filled this day from family members to old college friends -- and yes, even the vendors fell in love with these two! Here's to hoping they move to Asheville in the near future so we can hang out again 🙃!
It’s been a crazy week at our house. Scotlyn got tubes in her ears and handled it like a champ. I’m so very proud of her! I’m wrapping + shipping tons of client gifts (I’ll share once their delivered!) — I love spoiling our couples and reminding them that even though your wedding is over, we still love and think of you!! Each year brings new couples, new memories, friendships and work opportunities. So grateful for 2019 and the pivotal moments it brought for my career! Looking forward to all that 2020 brings — some changes but in a good way! Working on a new logo + really focusing my time on just weddings. This wasn’t supposed to be a “new year, new decade post” but here we are 🤦🏼♀️... most of all— Happy Thursday! I hope you find some slow time to be with your family today and ignore the hustle and bustle that might be calling you!
When you find pops of color at the very end of Fall and get to photograph @lindseyreganthorne and her family you do a little (big) happy dance! The Thorne family is beautiful, kind and genuine. It was truly such a blessing to capture all the sweetness and joy they radiate! I’ve been a fan of Lindsay and her work for years — brides, you have to check out @beprettycharlotte for all of your hmu needs👏🏻!! Sharing more from this session in my stories today!
Every year I have so much to be grateful for but this year I’m especially thankful for these 3. It’s crazy and chaotic but I wouldn’t dare change a thing. I love these little babes and man of mine more than I ever thought possible. God has been so good to us & to Him be all the glory! As the year ends we all hustle and bustle to meet deadlines, wrap presents, work extra hours, try to make everyone happy and most of the time we come up short. We’re going to fail at something and disappoint someone (even with the best of intentions). So this year I’m remembering to slow down and enjoy this glorious season with the ones I love most. To see the joy in my children’s faces, to be present with my family, to read that extra bedtime story and give extra hugs and cuddles!! His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men. For out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth and He giveth and He giveth again. Photo @megangielow
These two get the award for working the hardest for their engagement session! We hiked a steady incline for about a mile in the cold but it was definitely worth it. We were the only ones on this mountaintop which was both equally terrifying and beautiful. I try to keep my cool but the truth is I’m a skeptical person and pretty terrified of bears and no cell service. (Mom, don’t read this). I found out @kylie_a_smith is very similar so we were able to bond over our fears 😂❤️!
Want to know a secret? There is a parking lot right behind Lauren + Phil! The light was dreamy and I loved the pops of color on the bushes. Only took a tad of photoshop and viola! Love it when clients trust me completely. It’s so important to trust your vendors and know they are the experts! . . . . . #ashevilleweddingphotographer #cliffsatglassy #cliffsatglassywedding #glassychapel #glassychapelwedding #ashevillewedding #ncwedding #claxtonfarm #claxtonfarmwedding #oldedwardsinn #oldeswardsinnweddings #groveparkinn #groveparkinnwedding #omniweddings #hoteldomestique #hoteldomestiquewedding
2019 has treated us so well and we still have two more weddings to capture before it ends! The end of the year is always extra crazy and to be honest I fall behind on sharing some of the amazing things I've been capturing. Last weekend was Spencer + Taylor's wedding in the Appalachian mountains at a brand new venue called Appalachian View. Everything about their wedding reminded me of home. They packed out their venue with the kindest friends and family who quickly made us feel like guests. It's always a little sad when wedding days come to an end. Especially with these two. Congrats to S + T!
Overwhelmed by God’s goodness, this family of mine, this season and @megangielow sneak peeks! I really wanted a lifestyle approach for our family photos this year. We spend so much time at home and that is where so many sweet memories are made. Memories I never want to forget. H + S are playing together and developing the sweetest bond. H just turned 3 and S, one. This year has flown by but I’m so glad we have these photos to remember our together right here, right now. To remember these sweet babies in this fun stage and how much our marriage has grown through all of the ups and downs. “For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds” Psalm 108:4 #ashevillelifestyle #ashevilleweddingphotographer #familyportraits #lifestyle #familyoffour #reallife #realmoments #828isgreat #thehatleylife
