@ilfordphoto Delta 3200 film has such a dreamy and ethereal look to it. What I love about film is that it's all about less being more. Sometimes high def is just too much information. #lookslikefilmbecauseitis
This was an incredible day that began before the sun had risen in the east. In the months before we embarked on this adventure I had looked at so many photos of styled shoots with hot air balloons and I have to say - the reality of it was FAR different on an actual wedding day. While those photos were gorgeous and so well curated - a real hot air balloon ride is reliant first on weather, time, and the ability to land/takeoff in an open parcel of land. The latter of which is dependent on where ever the wind takes you! While being super prepared is part of a photographer's success, I have to say the most rewarding part of Caity + Tim's adventure was the element of surprise and adventure. Happy 6 months kids!
Today is my last full day in one of my favorite places. I won't lie, I am bit sad my No-Chella is almost over and I have to come home. While coming home is also a sweet feeling in itself, Arizona was home once to me too - with so much to see and do, not to mention, where some of my best friends still live. For those in AZ getting married in 2019 - I have special rates for you and no travel fees. For, as Matt always says to me if you don't leave, then you can't come back. 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 So come back this year I shall, if not in summer (I can hang for reals), then at least for @showit.co United in November. Any of my photo friends going to United this year? Hope you do - its an amazing experience and I am so excited for it - holla at me if you are going and let's hang!!
One of those places totally worth stopping to make out in
Coming to Joshua Tree is opening up a pandora's box of exploration and wanderlust. I've been hiking and camping up there for so many years, and still, I discover something new every single time. My new obsession is the White Tank campsite for the endless low boulders and different scenery. What's your favorite spot??
I know. I know. I have really beautiful friends
Our week of No-chella began after my wedding on Friday and we hightailed it outta town for a week of a bit of rest and family time. We spent the first few nights in Hopi Nation and explored beautiful terrains and mesas (like this crazy vision here!) and introduced Owen to a culture that is one of the first and oldest on the continent. Greeted with so much warmth and hospitality, we left having made new friends, and a promise to return. And on a side note. I am ridiculously and absurdly petrified of heights (Sorry @jillibeanz I dont think I will be crossing the Rio Grande Gorge on this trip) and this is the closest I will ever get to the edge. Owen, of course, no fear. ever.
