Its been an incredible weekend and I am so sad to be leaving this beautiful place and my beautiful friends who were happily married off yesterday. I usually visit this area in the winter to ski, and this was my first time in the fall (yo for reals holler at me here so I can do more weddings up here!!) - and it truly did not disappoint. I have spent a lot of time exploring Nevada this year and there is so much natural wonder and off the beaten path oddities to earn a place in this weirdo's heart. 💘
so many things in life are not promised..but a day like this in Joshua Tree is one small certainty I can usually count on (with the exception of the rare rain or snow then I'm just SOL🌬)
Hey insta-friends its been awhile since I have posted. Even though I try to be diligent with my planoly and all the stuff that is suppose to keep you on track, I instead helped a friend pick out her wedding gown, reviewed student portfolios today, spent my Sunday with these two gorgeous humans who are sparkling in their newlywed glory, and between and after all of that, caught up on reading, and slept. Slept like a rolling snoring freckled rip van winkle. Sometimes I gotta hit that pause button on the 'gram know what I mean?? 🤷🏻♀️

pardon my absence here. Its been hotter than hellfire and the past week has had me looking and feeling pickled. Tho in spite of all of it, I had an incredible weekend where I saw two couples whom I have grown so close to in the wedding planning process, happily married off into the sunset. I shed some tears, had lots of laughs, and reflected on our journeys together (with a celebratory whiskey in hand) Meg + Sam - we love you! See you soon for some Halloween spooks!!
last night was pure fire! Like literally. It was hotter than hellfire (ok summer. I'm done ok and bye!!) and to be around these two 🔥🔥🔥I am lucky I still have my eyebrows. I am off to another adventure today, but first a huge congrats to my friends who are waking up today as mister and missus. xoxo
Oh summer...I ain’t ready to let you go 🌞
bride goals 🙌🏼
Today is the last of the Burning Man festival, and while I have never gone (I am so intrigued, but spending a week with 50,000 other people in an enormous camp scares the bejesus outta me) The closest I came to going was a Burning Man wedding, made for and done by, all burners. It was incredible. A dancer who played with fire, belly dancer, a Moroccan tent, tons of artwork (some with flames!) and a whole lotta love made this such an incredible experience - all out in the middle of the desert in Mecca on a cold brisk January day. I remember thinking, I need to get invited to more parties like this.
Everytime I see the photos from this sweet elopement I am reminded of Lou Reed's song Oh what a perfect day.....I'm so glad I spent it with you........
