Here’s a clip from new album with @fourteeno3 called “Infinite Jigsaw: Blue” with a track entitled “Food on the Table”. Story behind the song below! . . . From @fourteeno3 “Before Trevor and I began making music together I’d begun dipping my toe into the vast ocean that is meditation. Not only to introduce an element of calm and routine to my London life, but also in an attempt to exorcise some bad memories that were a recurring theme in my dreams. After my introductory sessions I began to practise at home and rather than revisiting any darkness or trauma I found myself summoning some of the fondest moments of my childhood and would also experience the smell of some of my favourite foods. It was as if the repetition of my breath had invited me back to some moment of solace which revolved around another recurrent occasion; a meal with family or friends. I wrote the piano sequence with this in mind and wanted to achieve something that evoked warmth and reliability. I then read somewhere that repetition works well within music as it helps your brain solidify connections that are used to recall memories. After reading this I knew I was on the right track. Once Trevor threw his two pence/cents into the bargain, the repetitive piano became like a melodic equivalent of a steady drumbeat for him to play along to. His beautiful swells and dancing lines really brought the piece to life and put the Food on the Table.”
Thank you yet again Portugal for the wonderful time! I look forward to playing here again in the spring. Muito Obrigado!! Photo by Felix in Famalicão Portugal Nov 16

NEW ALBUM OUT NOW!!! . And here it is!! This is the first installment of a new multi-part album series with great artist 1403 (Tom Cameron) from London entitled “Infinite Jigsaw: BLUE” Check it out!!! . I am asked very often about how hard it is to see return on investment in creating music in the digital age. YES in many ways we all know it is difficult. You have to do a lot of things to make it work. This struggle can affect how and why we continue to create. I truly feel like this project has been a sort of re-calibration for me in so many ways. What is it about music that captivates me, why do I continue to pursue it, what sounds are still out there to explore, what new sonic colors to experience and express, what can I learn from others in creating in collaboration? These are all questions that have been deepened for me in fresh ways. . I first heard Tom Cameron (1403) through our dear friend Joe Nicolo years ago and was blown away. Then at Joe's request in 2018 Tom and I met at Joe's studio to see what ideas might spark. Within minutes we had numerous layers recorded and we quickly realized this would be much larger than a single studio session. We didn't have a concept of what it would lead to but each musical decision was so easy and natural it prompted us to expand the whole concept out as big as we can to give us lots of room to explore all of the possibilities of this collaboration. This is what music is all about and what this musical collaboration is all about: Following the ideas wherever they lead. Music is an infinite jigsaw. . SO....This new six part album series is called Infinite Jigsaw, kicking off with BLUE and will be released in between each of our own solo focused projects. This has cello, piano, rhodes, bass, drums, electronic instrumentation, kalimba, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide, and LOADS of sweet reverb tails recorded and formed in multiple countries and studios. . The album has endless layers of instrumentation but here is a recent studio session stripped down to just Tom on piano and me on electric guitar.
