If you haven’t already, don’t forget to head over to the link in our bio to watch our latest film about one of our favorite places to climb, Bishop’s Buttermilk Boulders. . And while you’re at it read (we know you don’t want to!) the associated article to learn about what’s been happening there that threatens our access, and what the good folks at @friendsoftheinyo have been doing to stave off those threats. . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
One of our favorite pieces of gear for any trip that involves camping or backpacking, is a good beanie. So we’ve decided to make one. . 100% seamless merino construction gives our new Olancha beanie a warm and comfy fit while retaining breathability and managing moisture like no synthetic material can. And it won’t stink if you haul it along for an extended trip without washing. . Keep an eye out for this thing, it’s launching in the next couple of weeks! . #exploreconserveenjoy
Reposted from @jasonfitzgibbon: . @kowen18 makes easy work of the crux move on Drone Militia (V6), a classic highball problem in Buttermilk Country. . The Buttermilk Boulders lie just west of the small town of Bishop, California, nestled between the sprawling alluvial fans of the Sierra Nevada’s East Side, and studded with the diverse flora and fauna that lay claim to these immense, high-desert slopes. Geologically and biologically speaking, climbing is a rather novel pursuit here, but some of the evident impacts this rapidly growing sport has had on the landscape suggest otherwise. The proliferation of trails, accumulation of trash and waste, illegal camping, and more have not made a great name for us climbers, and unfortunately have generated quite the stir amongst land managers and those that have the land’s best interests in mind - and rightly so. . Click the link in our bio to watch our latest project with @zangsfilms, which aims to showcase the beauty of this magnificent landscape, and to shed some light on one of its harder working advocates; @friendsoftheinyo.
Within recent years, there has been a massive surge in the number of people climbing and camping in this beautiful little slice of high desert - speckled with rabbit brush and tucked away beneath the peaks of the Eastern Sierra Nevada - and the results of the increased traffic have left local land managers in a bit of a tizzy. . Increased wear and tear to the area and a general lack of land stewardship (by many folks that are entirely new to outdoor recreation) has also placed quite a heavy burden on local environmental and climbing advocacy groups such as @friendsoftheinyo, who have been working hard to step in where under-budgeted and overwhelmed land managers have been unable to. . Head to the link in our bio to watch the complete film, and to learn how you can help @friendsoftheinyo and others keep the climbing areas of the Eastern Sierra beautiful and accessible for us all. . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
Lots of work to be done this weekend but still squeezing in some afternoon glide sessions. 👌🏻 . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
Great news! Our Wallowa Trail Hat is finally back in stock! . With this most recent batch we’ve also implemented some improvements and incorporated your much appreciated feedback. For starters, we’ve added a tad to the diameter and depth of the hat, so now it accommodates a much broader range of head shapes and sizes. We’ve also upgraded the buckle and webbing closure system, so you can cinch and snap away without fear of popping a buckle. And thirdly, we’ve gone with more abrasion resistant nylon panels and webbing (for all you climbers!) without affecting the weight, breathability, or packability of the hat. . All of this just in time for the longer and warmer days that lie just around the bend!
No words needed. 👌🏻 . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
Dawn patrol. Gotta sneak up on the fish before they get their coffee in them! . #ExploreConserveEnjoy

Clean and healthy beaches - free of plastics, trash, and pollutants - are not only far easier for us to enjoy, they are critical when it comes to ensuring the health and function of the organisms and ecosystems that they support, and that in turn, support us. . We are so excited to be developing some projects and local initiatives that we hope will benefit our beaches and waterways, by spurring much needed conversation, and eliminating some not-so-needed waste streams. . Stay tuned as we work toward some big goals for 2018! And if you’re antsy to make a difference right now, go visit the good folks @surfrider and find out how you can contribute to their ongoing efforts to protect and restore our oceans and coasts! . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
Our good friend Scott from @ridefastracing always shows us the hot lines. 🤘🏻 . #ExploreConserveEnjoy
