Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 ⠀ ⠀ We have a busy day ahead of us. Sadly, it doesn’t include green beer. That’s a thing of the past it seems 🙃 ⠀ ⠀ We are off to celebrate Isla’s great grandma, who was born on this day in Dublin. She gave Isla the beautiful red hair, if any one is wondering. I love this connection they have together. It just proves how strong genes are! ⠀ And after that, we head to my parent’s place to celebrate my fabulous stepmom’s birthday! In the past, Nan and I would meet and have a green bevy in the afternoon to celebrate but that hasn’t happened recently. Hopefully we will pick that up again soon. @thesaltynan, are you in? ☺️ Happy birthday and we love you!
Playing with patterns on this Friday. We have a rug in the left, draperies on the top right and tile on the bottom. Pretty cute, right?
Here is a pulled back photo of the shelves I posted a few weeks ago. I really do love built ins! Here, we left the fireplace as is and added open shelving and storage around it on both sides. I love how this gives the homeowner a place to display their special things but also offers them a spot to hide and store the unsightly stuff too! It’s a win, win!
I feel like this cat this morning, returning back to work after 10 glorious days with my family and the sun. All I really want to do is curl up and snooze 🤪 Aren’t vacation blues the worst?
Farewell sunsets and lazy days. On our way back to Canadian winter today.
This room is one of many that I had the pleasure to design along side with one of my dearest clients. #projectlittlejohn was a full renovation that Ryan and Katie gave us free reign to design. But don’t get me wrong, Ryan had a clear vision. He wanted a space that was west coast inspired, light, airy and comfortable. ⠀ ⠀ Along side, we worked together and created this space. After the “major” portion of the job was done, Ryan and I slowly worked on perfecting each space. I would offer Ryan ideas on a space and he would source it himself. This guest room, for example, is my broad ideas and finessing, but he sourced it all. ⠀ ⠀ Ryan had an eye, a knack and a flare for design. He was a great partner in crime to create these contemporary spaces with. Katie and Ryan are truly clients who turned into friends. ⠀ ⠀ Sadly, this world had to say goodby to Ryan last week. He courageously battled cancer for 7 years and did it with such poise and positivity. Ryan is a soul that will be missed and I will forever be grateful of the time we spent together. ❤️
