Moving on to some happier pictures this time. On this Hindu wedding the crowd and couple had a good time as you will see over the next couple of days. In frame the wedding band and it’s woodwind player had a blast... Even I could not hold myself back and was dancing with the boys a little later.
After the wedding ceremony, the bride arrives for the first time in the house that will be her home from now on. A place built from wood and clay in the middle of rice paddies and banana trees near Nepal’s border with India. She still seems startled from the events that have taken over her life today. Later she changed clothes and she was sitting with her new husband in front of the house on the bench on display. May they live, happily ever after.
A little comfort from her best friend. After the vows were spoken the bride bursts in silent tears. Those are no tears of joy but of fear for the unknown life that lies ahead of her. Tonight she will sleep, the first time in her life, away from her family and a stranger will share her bed. It will all be good, eventually? #nepal
