Do you have any Kitchen Hacks & Tips that are really useful? We want to know for this week's #WinACanWednesday contest! Here's a few from our recipe expert Michaela: ・ - When buying chicken or pork in bulk, separate meal size portions in heavy duty freezer bags and pour your marinade over the meat. When defrosting, your chicken and pork will already be marinating. - When you need thinly sliced or cubed beef, freeze raw meat for 10 minutes before cutting. This will ensure a more uniform cut and make the task much easier. - Freeze leftover chicken, beef and vegetable broth in ice cube trays to have at the ready when you only need a small amount. - To see if your eggs have gone bad, drop them gently in a bowl of very cold water. If the egg floats, toss it. Over time, the liquid inside the shell evaporates, leaving a gas bubble, which is why the egg will float. Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom. - Place cherries (one at a time) on top of an empty soda or beer bottle and use a chopstick to push the pit out of the cherry and into the bottle. - And most importantly, sharpen your knives often. A dull blade will not only slow you down, it is unsafe. ・ To enter this week's contest, comment with your most useful Kitchen Hacks & Tips. We'll select one random winner to win a Glory Foods prize pack! Contest entry ends on August 16th at 6PM EST. ・ Good luck y'all! ・ #GloryFoods #KitchenHacks #KitchenTips

Happy #WinACanWednesday everyone! Summer is grilling season and we want to know your grilling tips and tricks. Here's a few from our recipe expert Michaela: ・ - For the most well-rounded flavor, season foods early in the cooking process. - Marinate chicken and pork in the refrigerator and beef at room temperature. Do not marinate fish longer than 20 minutes as the citrus in the marinade will break down the meat of the fish. - Glazes give foods a beautiful, glossy sheen. A basic glaze consists of melted jam and fresh herbs. Brush foods with glaze as soon as you pull them from the grill. - When grilling hamburgers, use your finger to make an indent in the center of raw meat to avoid a rounded top. ・ To enter this week's contest, comment with your best grilling tip or technique. We'll select one entry to win a Glory Foods prize pack. Contest ends at 5PM EST on August 9th. Good luck!
